So, how soon do we start predicting which players are off to Siberia? How much do we build England up to sweep across the steppes to World Cup glory? How many heads will be cracked by the Ruski's? Is chicken kiev really the national dish of dynamo? Panini Adrenalyn or Match Attax?
I’ve done some in depth research to help out The league we’re in is now called ‘Group G’. Unfortunately we’re currently bottom so there is a danger we’ll be relegated...presumably to Group H We’re hoping for a decent result against the works team from the hat making factory though.
Not sure whether I will get into watch the world cup or not, apathy has set in thanks to the Allam's on football at the moment.
Me too. I’ve totally fallen out of love with the game, it’s all about money & business - the ordinary fans have been forgotten. How many tickets for the World Cup games or champions league final actually go to the real fans 25%?
i'm expecting my usual problem with match officials. there will be many from small nations. they will model themselves on hitler and will strut, especially when giving out cards. also most of them will have never played football in their lives and will have little or no understanding of the game. for instance, if a player falls over in the area for whatever reason, even without appealing for a foul, they will get booked. referees are the crappest at interpreting intent. i'm interested to see how current and ex city players get on, if there are any. however, i never expect a lot from the world cup finals - mainly irritation, bad decisions, bad acting, and world war 3.
Isn't it funny, that with all we've been spoiled with over the last decade, this **** pile of a team will likely showcase the most amount of current Hull City players at a major international tournament? I expect Irvine, Hernandez, Larsson, Grosicki and Dawson will all be there. I'm not sure if it should be even more amusing that none of them are likely to be Hull City players at the end of the World Cup
He's a shoe in, the epitome of England in my lifetime. All the talent and promise in the world but a great big pile of steaming dog plop when it comes to getting the job done
I'm a complete nerd for these tournaments. As many will already know I'm a big England fan and a lot more positive about them than most football fans. That's not to say I think we'll win but I am very excited and hopeful for England. I really want to see them prove people wrong and have a decent run. Getting to a semi-final would be massive I think in terms of getting people onside with the national team again. And when you look at some of the teams who've done it it really isn't unachievable. Wales had that amazing run in 2016 but when we played them in the group it was just attack v defence; we were absolutely streets ahead of them. The 30-man squad is named next Monday. That'll be interesting I think.
I literally watch no football apart from Hull City matches. I could begin to name any Country's likely line up including England's. So in my expert opinion Argentina will win. Brazil, Sweden and Russia will make the semi finals.
