a lot of rumours saying that Walters is going to Cardiff for 4 million, if he does go then would just like to say thanks, hes not the best ability wise but his effort on the pitch was outstanding

That wouldn't surprise me in the least as i am 100% convinced that is where Pulis will end up. Goarnnnnnnnnn Jon up the Bluebirds!

I disagree mate if we play 2 good wingers crouch can score 15 in a season again. Lets not forget his first season how well he played then we played him upfont on his own and walters and ****ton were his suppliers. Not even shearer would score many with those 2 on the wing

I don't dispute that mate and I have always liked Crouch. However 10 million for a 30+ striker who don't give service to is (IMO) bad business for a club like ourselves.

Dutch international Erik Pieters tops Mark Hughes' Stoke City transfer wishlist
1 Jun 2013 22:30

The Potters boss is lining up his first signing since joining the club with a £4million bid for the PSV Eindhoven defender

Mark Hughes hopes to make Holland *international Erik Pieters his first big signing at Stoke City.

The Welsh boss is *convinced Pieters can bolster the Potters *defence.

Pieters, now playing for PSV *Eindhoven, will cost £4 million.

The left-back, who can also play as a central *defender, was close to joining Newcastle United last year but he broke a metatarsal bone in his left foot and was out for nine months.

It was also the reason he missed the *European Championships last *summer.

Pieters is a fiery *character. When he made his comeback for PSV Eindhoven in January, he received a red card after only 20 minutes.

The player was so angry about his dismissal that he smashed his fist through a window in the players’ tunnel.

That reaction saw him damage muscles in his arm – and his blood was *splattered across the *walls and ceiling at the Eindhoven stadium.

And Pieters was *sidelined again for three months.

But he is fully fit again and goes on tour *tomorrow to Indonesia and China.

Stoke City hope to have a deal sealed by the time he returns to Holland.

Hughes set to offload: Whelan, Pennant, Nash, Sorensen, Palacios, Jones, Whitehead, N'Zonzi, Walters, Upson, Etherington and Jerome.

Hughes' targets: Wanyama, Tomkins, Hoilett, Remy, Friedel, Taarabt, Onouha, Bertrand, Huddlestone, Sidwell, Strootman (if deal with PSV is achieved), Pieters and Hooper

How do you do that and keep the group together, is he selling them all to the same club?

Although Fridel was a quality keeper in his day he is getting on a bit now and would only be ok as cover. Gutted no mention of Shotton going :-(

I think Shotton will be staying mate as Stoke are using him in the Stoke strip on a few adverts posted around Stoke advertising the new away kit, IM GUTTED!!!

I can't see him offloading all of those in your list. That would mean a complete overhaul and Hughes has said he isn't looking for mass changes. If your lists are totally correct I wonder what the net spend would be. I would guess it would cost much more to bring in compared to what we would get for the sales.

I think Coates comments in the paper today sum it up nicely. If he leaves it will be for big money to a big club or else he stays - sounds to me like he stoking the fire for a bidding war. The fact for us is we now have 4 keepers in Nash, Butland, Tommy and Begovic and really we only need 2 with a developent player for the future so I rekon at least 2 of these will go.
