They're new to me UTR's, have you mentioned them before?

Only kidding mate, thanks for the heads up, I'm liking them.

Bit more Van M, because there's never too much:

Sorry mate, could not resist, I have been a good boy and kept it to the minimum.

Nice selection from you Sir!

A couple of legendary blues tracks performed live...

Smokestack Lightning by Howlin' Wolf...

And the great Muddy Waters with a well-known 'support band' filmed in Chicago's Checkerboard Lounge, just the type of place I'd love to chill out in...

And here's a great clip of Creedence Clearwater Revival live rockin' the Albert Hall...

I sometimes cringe when opera stars try to sing contemporary as their voices are usually far to strong, however I have to say that I think Renee Fleming the American soprano does a decent job on Mad World by Tears for Fears, her husky voice compliments the track.....not sure about the video though!!!!!

Yep, I can't argue with that. It sounds like REM have covered it if you know what I mean!

Once again I would like to thank everybody. This is everyone's thread for music lovers. I know there will be stuff posted on here that is not to everyone's liking and I respect that. What I really appreciate is there has been no put downs for stuff that has been posted that's not to your personal liking.

A massive thank you for that. I'm no musical expert, I love music of all sorts and have discovered some top quality music on this thread. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time out to post.

Again it's all just a matter of opinion, different grooves for different moods.

Carry on!

In 1972 me and a few mates climbed over the wall of the Oval Cricket ground to see Emerson, Lake and Palmer in an all-dayer and that evening went to the Brixton Astoria about a mile away to see Deep Purple in concert. I wish I had half that energy now!...

Here's another live Purple classic from that year...
