I sometimes cringe when opera stars try to sing contemporary as their voices are usually far to strong, however I have to say that I think Renee Fleming the American soprano does a decent job on Mad World by Tears for Fears, her husky voice compliments the track.....not sure about the video though!!!!! Once again I would like to thank everybody. This is everyone's thread for music lovers. I know there will be stuff posted on here that is not to everyone's liking and I respect that. What I really appreciate is there has been no put downs for stuff that has been posted that's not to your personal liking. A massive thank you for that. I'm no musical expert, I love music of all sorts and have discovered some top quality music on this thread. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time out to post. Again it's all just a matter of opinion, different grooves for different moods. Carry on!

In 1972 me and a few mates climbed over the wall of the Oval Cricket ground to see Emerson, Lake and Palmer in an all-dayer and that evening went to the Brixton Astoria about a mile away to see Deep Purple in concert. I wish I had half that energy now!... Here's another live Purple classic from that year...
