Any one else feel a bit sick that the Prem has spent over £1.1billion?
Yes. It's the ugly side to the Prem. Sky love the saturation point. Sometimes I get sucked in, like watching a spinning Kebab whilst drunk and hungry!

Not 100% but it's hardly "very disappointing". Boufal is hugely talented. Redmond is a good signing.
Yeah, okay, it is fans justifying the lack of spending by saying we have slent on contracts.
I find huge similarities between now and the Lowe era. Strachan got us to a record position and asked for funds to buy some player he'd seen for £1m called Drogba and was told we had a good enough squad and we should make use of the academy. Strachan got sick of it and left. Sound familiar?
Apparently since then we fans have rewritten the past and it was excessive spending which got us in financial trouble - when in fact it was lack of spending in the Premier League, followed by failure to rise back up, which destroyed us.
Transfer sales are over £500m as well, though. So the sum total is something like £30m per club net, which isn't too crazy given that on average club revenues are north of £150m a year.

The money in PL Football is insane , and disgusting IMHO .
That may come into it, but the story is mostly that perennial issue of 'ambition'.I thought Wee Gordon left because of the behaviour ( drugs maybe ) of a certain senior player .
The then chairman backed the player over GS , GS said I am off .
Allegedly .

God knows why he's face palming?? I think it's been a poor window or maybe I'm missing something? Why the facepalm? You happy with the window?
I think the club is interested in doing well in the Europa. They will want to keep KL happy...and she won't be impressed if we do embarrassingly. We may or may not do well, but it won't have anything to do with intention. With a weaker squad then we ended last season are we interested at all in the Europa league ? I suspect not despite the club rhetoric. Maybe the money isn't in it to really bother with.

But to me our 1st eleven is weaker, can't believe we haven't gone in for a centre forward.
Take Romeu out of midfield aka Man U and our midget midfield is not physical or powerful enough.
Back four....no dependable cover for our CB's and obviously injury to Pied has left us weak at RB.
Only way to avoid doom merchants is to keep off social media...though you can't avoid the fans sitting near you at the ground. My fear is that the lack of spending, coupled with the silly formation will breed a lot of impatience in the fan base at any poor results. I really hope and believe we will start winning soon, and get some positive vibes back around. Otherwise, the doom-merchants will be out in full force.![]()
