I think Bony and indy will fit in perfectly, come back and quote me if they crash and burn. Think Mark has added exactly what they needed.
Indi can't defend. I have watched him loads as a mate of mine is a Lisbon fan. For a defender he is very poor at tackling oh and marking.

A disappointing deadline day to end a very disappointing transfer window.

Nope. Only for people that haven't watched him lately. He lives of his name more then how he plays footy. Of course he could suddenly become good, but he would need a hell of a lot of work.

Sometimes footballers find the right club. I've always rated him. Were I a defender, Stoke would seem a good move. Certainly a better choice than us at present.

It' too early to tell whether the window was a success or not. We haven't seen Boufal in action yet, but judging by his youtube compilation he could potentially be our Mahrez. If he comes close to that standard, things would look very different. Hojbjerg is class, Redmond is also talented.

The main issues seems to be our formation.

Contract extensions are great, unless they are being used to validate a lack of punch in the transfer market. Every club extends contracts but I have never seen any other club justify reduced transfer clout because of this. I know we owe this board a huge debt and we owe KL even more, but that doesn't mean we can't question why most teams in this league can now afford (and I mean afford not stretch to) huge fees on big players and we can't. The amiunt of money we are taking for this season just for being in the league is astronomical. If there was a ground extension being built, I'd get it. The truth is though that we are doing a Rupert Lowe: resting in our laurels when we need to push on aggressively. It cost us a ginger manager we loved back then and it has done the sme now.

Has the club stated this? I genuinely don't know.

and for second bold text bit

How many parallels do you think there really are here with the Lowe era? I know it was ****, but I didn't show as much interest then and peruse forums.

Yeah, okay, it is fans justifying the lack of spending by saying we have slent on contracts.

I find huge similarities between now and the Lowe era. Strachan got us to a record position and asked for funds to buy some player he'd seen for £1m called Drogba and was told we had a good enough squad and we should make use of the academy. Strachan got sick of it and left. Sound familiar?

Apparently since then we fans have rewritten the past and it was excessive spending which got us in financial trouble - when in fact it was lack of spending in the Premier League, followed by failure to rise back up, which destroyed us.
