I'll be delighted if we can get Adams over the line and assume that at least one CB is among the 5 in.

I heard more than 5 players depending on sales.
Still hearing 2 or 3 big signings (this includes Djenepo, like I said few days ago, then the press said it done) before we sell loads. Saints don't want to miss out on our main targets.
Maehle is still a target, but obviously Cedric has to go.
The squad is getting a huge overhaul with a few youngsters being called up to the main squad.
We are after at least 1 cb so chill.

I still don't class goiginger a 'big' signing though.
I have no idea if he is a big signing, I just knew we were talking to him. If I had to guess it would be Djenepo and Adams that are deemed 'big'.
I agree getting these two in are probably players Ralph has recognised and deemed who he would like to bring in, The 3rd would have to be a CB or maybe it was dragowski?.. who knows eh
Yes I wonder what is considered a “big” signing ? Over a certain amount ? A potential starter for the team ?

I can’t envisage what else would be filled after that. A goalie if both Fraser and McCarthy are shifted (although the former seems unlikely)
A dynamic defensive central midfielder ? A more pacey Romeu as I think Romeu will struggle as one of the two. But such a player is probably hard to come by

From what I most recently was told, we are looking to get three ‘necessity’ signings (in Ralph’s eyes) over the line earlier in the window.
Then, any further signings he wants will be dependent on the clearout and how comprehensive we can make that.
Ralph had three positions with key targets he ‘needed’ and the board have backed him on those three. Djenepo and Adams are two. You’d assume the third is a central defender.
He also has other targets but those are ‘wanted’ and dependent on outgoings. Could be three more signings if the club gets enough out the door.

If we do land Adams, I'll be pretty pleased. Every window is great for me, cos I love all the speculation and anticipation but I think Adams could be a terrific addition for us, and a good earner as a sell on a couple of years down the road

Don’t get me wrong from what I know I would prefer Lookman but there are a few things:
- Goiginger seems heavily rumoured (in this site at least)
- it seems like we would be talking about £5m vs £25m
So the hope would me Lookman or similar . The plan sounds like it might be Goiginger...

I agree....Sims must have impressed Ralph as he suits him down to the ground. Well worth keeping him and seeing how far he can go. Not as if we have to pay for him...he's here already.
Don't think we will do a big signing in the sense that top clubs would recognise. I'll settle for the right signings.
If it's a choice between him and Mo El there is no contest IMO, Sims produced far more in his short time on the pitch.
Sims did more in his first 2 minutes of playing than Ely did in about 7 months.
