There’s a zillion ways to get around but I think it’s probably more likely we have an owner who wants to use it as a restraint. And that goes for all clubs, both ways.
 
Out of interest when does the Ings deal become officially permanent? Would've thought it would've technically been yesterday/today if it was a foregone conclusion as that is when the domestic window officially opens?

Thanks. It doesn't really matter as I'm 99.9% sure the loan is being made permanent at some point, I just thought it would coincide with the opening of the domestic window. Or maybe there is still that 0.1% doubt that is hoping we can get out of making the deal permanent.

It is probably taking a while because he needs a work permit and only has 8 games for Mali

And I really don’t think it has taken “so long”. It only seems that way because forum whispers have made people aware of this potential deal far earlier than we would have known in the past. I am sure something similar has happened most years. Vestergaard is the most recent example I remember of seeming to take ages
