The Pontus thing apparently came from someone rumouring a 6’ 4” championship defender. Unfortunately there isn’t a way outside of Football Manager that I know of to search players by height , position and division

Him trying to stop that weird agreed Villa goal is actually all the signs I would want that he is exactly the kind of defender we need

They got the Pontus rumour firstly from a fake journo. Than that dude said about 6ft4 guy and they put two and two together.
 
I’ve been following this thread for a while and never posted. I spoke with a member of the Saints staff this week and tried to get some transfer info out of him. He said the plan was 10 out and 5 in. The club are in talks with Che Adams. The Djenepo guy is pretty much done. 1 goalkeeper has to go. Nothing new really but thought you might be interested. He said the atmosphere at the club is much better and there is a positive vibe about the place. for next season!

This is good news. Assume we are including those who were out on loan as part of the potential ten.

It's a lot of activity to try and pull off in one summer but it's the right target. As long as we don't let the numbers drive us into bad decisions. Like if we end up with 8 out and 4 in that would still be fine to me. It took us 2 or 3 years to work our way into this mess. I won't be upset if it takes that long to work our way out.

Certainly doesn't indicate that the owner doesn't care about the football side of the club anyway.
