<ok>

I think if this window closes and he is still there you can forget anywhere near £50m

Same as Torres! Anything over £40m is simply going to up Benteke's price anyway (again, same as Torres a-la-Carroll), as Tobes inadvertenly stated.

Not this time Benteke has a release clause. £32.5m is the top price no matter what.

Personally I think we can do better. Benteke is worth no more than £20-25m

Agree with that on benteke. But if we get £50m for Lil' Rim there's no way Villa would accept @£25m, even if they were ever going to in the first place. Nevertheless, we can sit tight and prove a point - we don't have to have a ****ing firesale because he's thrown his teddy out the cot, ant more than we did when Luis kicked off.

Very interesting interview with Gerrard.

Summary -

Q - Asked if he think Sterling will be there I summer.

A - No. And I don't want to say anything more. I'd love to say what I want to say but it will create headlines. As a LFC fan I'm disappointed by that decision.

Q - Henderson being Captain - big shoes to fill.

A - You mention Raheem and now Jordan and both at difference ends of the scale. Jordan's so professional and a winner & great lad loyal to club by signing new deal and no one better to take the captaincy. What I like is he's humble, got great family and set up around him with people giving him the right advice. Can see him having great LFC & England career.

Quite interesting how he says that Hendo & Sterling are complete opposite and then goes on to suggest Hendo is loyal, professional, good set up around him... all the while implying that Sterling is none of them things. I'd love to have heard him say exactly what's on his mind though, bet he has a few choice words for Sterling and his advisors in the way he's behaving and I bet if he was still captain at the club, Sterling might be getting a talking to from Stevie.

Didn't he have a word with him when he was still here?

Of course why would Raheem listen to someone like Gerrard and all the other top class players and ex players who've gave him advice when he's got a fat mouthy bastard, two minutes into a useless parasitic job with now only one client, to advise him? No brainer that eh?

My thing is I reckon half the squad put sterling in his place Monday and he then didn't turn in like a spoilt child the next two days.

If I were lfc player I'd not talk to him. Id be saying if I see you in blue I'm snapping you in two you little turd while the laps are run etc.

Apparently LFC and city are in talks.... Looks like things could be sorted soon then

There's no doubt Sterling has gone about this the wrong way. However if he doesn't want to be here it's best he goes and we move on ASAP. I personally won't be bothered too much either way. At the end of the day we lost one of the best players in the world last year and that was tough to take. When I compare that with our situation with Sterling, I honestly couldn't care less he is replaceable Suarez isn't.

After seeing your description of the video and what actually happened I can't help but feel disappointed.

I was expecting a stone cold stunner or something and instead all we got was Markovic, not even touching Sterling, kicking his ball away.

LFC apparently going to reject a new offer of 40m plus 5m add ons

seems we really want that 50m cash straight up...
