The way he is acting that's 35 Mil

If its 40mil straight cash.....

Cos frankly the moment he signs I'm going to authorise a leg breaking ceremony

I'm disappointed he wants to leave, I wish he wanted to stay. My thoughts are that if i wasn't getting on with my boss I would want to move too. I think he will be a great player, chances are his form has been poor because he has had issues on his mind regarding all of this. I would bet he will regain his form once this is all over. It's just a shame it won't be with Liverpool.

For the record I'm not saying he hasn't acted badly because he has; however he is 20 and naive. I work with 18 year old students everyday and they are inexperienced in life, so at 20 there won't be that much difference. At the end of the day if he can't work with Rogers, then why is it wrong that he wants to leave?
I suspect the manager thing is just an excuse anyway. I'd want to know in exactly what way he doesn't get on with him before I'd accept that that was the real issue. It could be just that BR won't take any of his stroppiness, and if that's the case I'd back the manager 100%.
Being told what to do by your boss is how it works in the real world.
Bottom line is that he's a well paid professional and has no excuse not to give his all- it's what he's paid a stupid amount of money for.
If his youth and inexperience prevents him from seeing that then all the more reason for his employers, or their representatives, to make sure he understands that.
If he has an issue with that then it's tough, because he'll come up against it wherever he goes.

Supposedly £40m + £5m add-ons. Enough, providing he puts in a transfer request and City are paying any agents' fees. I'll puke on my Liverpool shirt if it turns out his fat, plazzy-gangster agent is making one penny out of our club. I'd rather we gave City a token payment for Milner than directly pay Shady Ward at all,

£40m plus adds ons... Yeah I'd prob accept that (assuming he puts in a transfer request at the same time)

see gerrard has spoken up about it and said that sterling needs to be a man about it and there's no need to feign illness and refuse to go on the tour. Fact he said feign illness would suggest that it's true and not just a huge coincidence.

Why are people so hung up on Sterling's finishing?

A) He's not a natural striker
B) He's only 20
C) His decision making has been poor last season but that was because of a lack of options. We saw the same with Suarez in his first season where he was practically doing everything himself and ended up messing up the final shot. When Sterlign was with SAS, he had options and more often than not, he picked the right pass.

He could end up like SWP but he has far more potential and far more to his game.

He is one the best youngsters in world football.

Any professional footballer should be able to tap a ball in from 3 yards. Even Rooney has that nailed and he has the first touch of a drunk Sunday league player.

Maybe exagerated for a point, but most people don't like their bosses but if you were being paid 100k a week I reckon you'd put up with it.

Or maybe he thinks he has better chance of winning stuff at another club?

We can hide behind the money/greed but look at last season and look at the players he had to play with - Lambert, Lallana, Henderson etc etc. At least with SAS, he knew they were top class and could win games.

Then we sign Ings, Bogdan and Milner - they're not inspiring.

And Sterling could do that in 13/14 but struggled in 14/15. So we're now writing off this players ability because of poor finishing in 1/2 a season?

I don't mind people being angry at the lad for leaving but can't understand why fans are forgetting how good a player he is.

He's a good player in a team that was playing well. When there was any pressure and need to deliver he [HASHTAG]#bottled[/HASHTAG] it

A young [HASHTAG]#bottler[/HASHTAG] but a [HASHTAG]#bottler[/HASHTAG] none the less

Not really - he was leading the line attack of a non-existent attack. What do you expect him to do? He was one of our best players in the first half of the season.

He's a 20 year old attacking mid, but fans are expecting him to be a 20 goal a season striker, capable of leading the line.

I expect him to be able to score when the ball is put on a plate

No, people are expecting him to play like he gives two ****s which it didn't look like he did last year as well as not be a massive **** about trying to get a move.

£40m would see you net £32m after paying QPR their 20% (before paying his agent and his loyalty bonus, lol)

Which you'll then no doubt hand straight over to Villa for Benteke.

<laugh> at RVPs "betrayed" comments

I mean he was, but it's not like the **** didn't do it first
