They have an agenda we’re they feel the whole world is against them and they would like to create their own Republic. I’d say Amen to that, most decent folk are against violent robbing bastards. In general though Everton fans are completely different.
would've been fantastic mate. The elite sports, Rugby, horse racing, cricket, gold all still going ahead, Football and boxing called off. imo it's got nothing to do with football and the government wanting every available Bobby down to the capital.
Strange one. But from what I had heard on the radio on Friday, they were being guided to cancel. Why else with the footballing body want to add to an already odd packed world cup schedule is my question.
They believe it shows them to be anti establishment as they have been left behind as an area and as people by the "establishment"
If it were being played , and they booed , it would be good to see them shown up and criticised. However , bbc , sky , would just not have a go at them
Have all of Northumbria's finest gone down? ****ing hell, I better lock the doors We only have about half a dozen coppers at our games anyway, probably less than that at each lower league game.
Thankfully I noticed the comma between booing and Smug Apparently they believe Liverpool should be a Republic and not part of the UK ... ... let it happen I say, they can pay their own benefits.
The Queen's body will be transported from Scotland to London via the East Coast mainline by the Royal Train. It is expected to travel very slowly so people can pay their respects at various bridges and stations en route....
I was worried it would start to look like all I was bothered about was football, on the contrary I believe all sport this weekend should've been cancelled. Some going a head and some not was always going to spark debate. As I've said, it all should've.
I have no issue with sport being played. Nor an issue with it being cancelled. As long as respect is shown where it should be and in the right way.
I worked there a couple of times for quite long periods in the late eighties. There is definitely a handed down resentment that the old Liverpool of the giant docks and it's pivotal role in the economy of the country has more or less gone. It's as if no other region has suffered great change. Alongside this, they see Manchester rapidly overtake it in economic size and importance. This festering and defensive resentment is not held by everyone there as far as I could see, but it's held by too many to be healthy. There might be other reasons for this childish, " We aren't English" rubbish they come up with, but whatever it is, the main cure for it would be a shower of self awareness, something sadly lacking in too many there.
I am probably wrong Rooch, but I always thought it was sectarian, because the majority of people living in Liverpool are Irish Catholic descendants whose ancestors came over in the mid 1800's as a result of the Great Starvation.
The plan was always the train while I was (tangentially) involved with it. I was in Edinburgh dropping youngest off at University this afternoon and they were beginning to close roads and tow cars. Train to Waverley makes sense logistically.
