And to be totally fair, 2020 points was based on a whole year.

2021 is based on 8 weeks.

Ive ben a bit down about it all, and i can see it getting worse before it gets better. But I’d be utterly amazed if we went down.

For me the biggest challenge is the ownership issue, keeping Ralph, having a good transfer window and pre season. As for me the worry is our form continuing into next season, as that would be a real concern of relegation.

I’m less worried about next season, as we’ll get a pre-season, and it’s (hopefully) back to being a regular number of games over a sensible period, so we won’t have the fatigue/injury problems.

Hope youre right, but it isn’t great to carry bad form over the summer.

i think we will be ok, the large loan was also to help fund a little transfer or two...

As dreadful as that first 45 minutes was, a repeat of it would be more than pleasing for us.

Both sides have a fairly nasty run of fixtures after this.

Palace: Man Utd, Spurs, WBA, Everton, Chelsea, SAINTS

Burnley: Spurs (right now), Leicester, Arsenal, Everton, SAINTS

Brighton: Leicester, SAINTS

Fulham: Spurs, Liverpool, Man City, Leeds, Villa, Wolves, Arsenal, Chelsea, Burnley, SAINTS

Very difficult for any of those clubs to get any sort of momentum going prior to playing us. Very decent chance of us being the higher placed team in all of those four games.

WBA have a kinder run of fixtures between now and when we play them. But they're 13 points behind and with a much weaker GD. Nothing to be concerned about.

Me too. Seeing as it was a handball. Similar to the handball by Wolves against us. Oh...

I suppose to be fair, since the Villa game, we do all now know that you can literally save the ball and not given away a penalty now. So we have consistency.

It's just a shame about rule 3.5.276, which says that the above isn't the case if your name is Ryan Bertrand.

Thing is, the mid season changing of rules is pretty unfair, I think. A team will miss out on three points, which they would have got earlier in the season (as we have done), which could make all the difference.
