This could be the day when Brighton entered the relegation race. At the very least, they're one bad round of matches away.

And I'd suggest that they're the sort of side who, if they do find themselves right on the fringes of the bottom three, don't have it in them to pull back away again.

There's always one side who plummets and I wouldn't bet against it being them.

Looking at their immediate upcoming fixtures, they should be alright: Burnley (h), Leicester (a), Huddersfield (h), Palace (a), Cardiff (h), Saints (h).

But they are only five points above the bottom three now, and have just lost touch with the bunch of midtable teams. If those first two games don't go their way, then those next four become something of six-pointers. And they still have to play Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and City after those six.

Did anyone else spot the rogue Saints fan on the match of the day re-run this morning, when they showed the Arsenal training academy stuff?

As Qwerty says, this mornings version of MOTD had a piece on the learning Facilities at Tbe Arsenal Academy. When they panned round to some lads at desks, there was an arm with a red T shirt and I could just see the side of your head. I said to my lad that it looked like you. Later it shows you walking through a door way and it was clearly you.

Yeah, that’s me. Although my pedant senses are telling me to correct you, that’s just a room we have at the first-team training ground for when players are learning languages, doing media activity or the scholars are doing their education sessions. ;)

Was a really nice piece though and pretty cool for those kids to get to speak with Unai in Spanish. They all seemed to enjoy meeting him and having photographs after. He also surprised them with tickets for the United game in the FA Cup but I don’t think we wanted the footage to look too cynical. <laugh>
