And what is the % that Manchester United get from shirt sales? Juve managed to sell a lot of shirts after the Ronaldo signing bringing in something like a 100 million euros, (exact figures I do not know), but with all due respect to Juve, Manchester United has a considerably bigger global support, so said shirt manufaccturer and club are destined to gain if such a transfer went through.
That's the end of Burnley's sticky run of fixtures. Hopefully it's damaged their confidence enough that they don't take advantage of a kinder set of fixtures going forward: Everton (h), West Ham (h), Huddersfield (a), Fulham (h), Watford (a).
Interesting Tiss saying that Puel was offered the chance to stay at Saints if he changed his style of play, but he refused.
That is interesting LTL. Considering some views on either side on here about Puel and indeed about his sacking perhaps that puts it to bed.
I heard that at the time. Puel obviously stuck to his guns...we may not agree with that, but it shows integrity.
Integrity. Or shows that he wasn’t that good. Although he tore up the French League didn’t he. Or maybe that league just ain’t so tough. From memory, only Wenger has really succeeded as a French Manager in the EPL, seems strange that.
I like and respect this man: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46652172 Headline - "Vincent Kompany says Manchester homelessness is 'shameful'"
"Tore up" might be an overstatement. I remember running the numbers when he was hired, comparing Puel's teams with him as manager to their results in the seasons immediately before/after he was hired, and he seemed to neither make teams better or worse in general. Which was pretty well my impression of him when here, too.
