Me too, but I think that ship has sailed until he goes up a level and fails. That’s probably at least 3-4 years away.
Yeah if he turned us down in L1 then there's no way he'd join us now. Really don't think he'd do it to them either as he's such a hero to them and probably wants to keep it that way. Like you say, his next move will be a bigger club unless he wants out at the end of this year and there's none available. Could be time to strike... I see him at Everton next.
Yeah I remember having that England discussion with you, probably far too early for him though I fully expect him to be in that job one day.
Oh this conversation was going so well until you ruined it by putting that last thought in my head I’d hate that to happen.
Yet I'd say it's most likely, not sure any of the top 6* would be willing to take a chance on but Everton will clearly be a big step up on your Leicester/Saints/Wolves etc. and obviously the fact he supports them... *Spuds to replace Poch? I bloody hope not... I'd hate to have to wish them well.
He supports Everton? Oh jeez... the news keeps getting better Is he tw*tbeard’s cousin? I can see the Spuds thing too
Let's hope so. At the moment I am glad I am a homeworker and hardly leave the house as it is embarrassing in Bournemouth to be seen as a Saints fan
Replacing Poch is an interesting possibility. Howe's flexible (and adept) enough tactically that he could easily adopt a similar style to what Spurs are using now to maintain continuity.
Be interesting to see where he goes if/when he does leave. I don't know too much about him apart from he has obviously done a great job at Bournemouth. but was mediocre at best at Burnley. So I have no real opinion on whether he would be a success at the next level up. Poch, however, I am convinced would fail at one of the top clubs, just not the right fit at all
I'm with you on Howe. I think he fits Bournemouth perfectly (as shown by his two spells there), but not convinced he will fit elsewhere. Sometimes, a club is just right for someone. See Gordon Stachan, Nigel Adkins, even Pardew to some extent for us.
And clubs have to be patient....the bigger the club, the less patient they are. Hence, our recent record with managers
Young English gaffer does well, and everyone starts wishing him away. I hope he stays there and continues his remarkable run. I don't like that B'mouth have over taken us in pretty much every area, but I can see they deserve all the plaudits.
