Right from the start of this sorry Brexit process, it's only ever been about the Tory party.

Yes, you are right, there is a sneering attitude in play, most evidently from the liberal left. I think it cuts both ways though. All fair enough mate.
I still stand by what I see and that is the vast majority of those of a liberal left or left/far left persuation simply will not entertain any opinion that differs from theirs, especially when it's from a Tory.
Tories are reviled just because they are a Tory, with a hatred and sneering "I'm right" attitude.
It's quite repulsive to witness at times.
By the way, I never said I'd vote for Boris.
I'll struggle to vote for any of these twats in a GE.
Not as far as I can see. Certainly under current circumstances and with the current crop of politicians. If we are going to keep on in this direction let’s do it 100%. Do you really think Johnson is capable or interested in uniting the country, healing the divisions?Great! So no end to the politics of hate and division then?
I meant more over how he performs in office. He's known for his lack of attention to detail and inability to master a brief. His minders have had to lock him away during the leadership process, but he can't hide when he's PM.
Do you think there's any hope of him of achieving Brexit by 31/10 as he promised the ERG? If not, there'll be a GE and the public will have had a good chance to see how he performs. He may surprise, but I doubt it.
Politicians are so reviled and in the main inept that someone with a personality, who sometimes speaks out of turn, could make an interesting change.
Obviously, if the nation's security, or the security of individuals is put at risk then he won't last long.
He will have people around him desperately trying to keep him neutral till he's elected.
Not comparing the two men in any way, but Churchill was also ridiculed before he tackled the biggest national threat that we'd faced in a good few hundred years.
Boris may just have the balls to get the Brexit job done. In that regard, I hope he's not reigned in too much.
Still find the knicker twisting from the anti-Tory brigade regarding Boris most amusing.
You're right about the detail and preparation problems. I remember about 15 years ago, he turned up on Question Time, and everyone had been discussing the subject of the day. Boris hadn't even heard about it.
He'll have a phalanx of advisors around him to keep him on the rails. I don't see him cocking anything up in the short term.
The EU won't move, because they don't think Boris can get a no deal through Parliament. So I think the 31/10 date will pass, we'll get an extension and there will be a GE. That's when it really gets interesting. Who aligns with who. Then how many of the public will support Boris in going for a no deal.
We have been guilty of this through all colour governments to be fair. We are a corrupt country, we reward failure at the top level, from bankers to football managers and punish failure at the lowest level, from homeless to disabled. Democracy has been non existent since I can remember so why people get on their high horse about it now baffles me. The next PM isn't democratically elected, neither was the one before, neither was Brown for labour. Voters generally vote on policies of parties that are then torn up once power is gained. We live in a matrix, governed by ****wits with only ambition for their personal gain!
I am guessing 43% or less
The EU are fully prepared
Wake up Goldie
Boris is a slideshow nothing more
Good grief Col
Churchill is dead mate and most know now he was nowhere near what history has made him out to be
We were at war then and he got extremely lucky
Look no doubt Brexit will be done no problem that is also history but if a nation votes for an option then surely there must be some plan in place
Project fear has never been about fear it was sensible people raising concerns on what happens next. So in the now actually today in this moment there is still no plan
There won’t be negotiation the U.K. has missed the boat the EU is fully prepared for a no deal or any other option. If anyone thinks that our lot will somehow be heroes for delivering the Brexit outcome then imo they are very dim people.
We won’t rely on the luck of Churchill he was quickly got rid off after America and the Russians won WW2 . £39bn is not a lot of money for the EU to lose. They will recover that mark my works they are prepared and we are not .. nowhere near not even close ... it’s a blind punt and thank heavens for my family that we have a out
The U.K. does not the skill set to react with something simple like rainfall.
Churchill FFS ... did OK in history how has the U.K. done since then? That is the correct focus imo ? Accept it been nothing but decline since then
More bollocks from our resident own country hater.
America and Russia won WW2?
What a ****ing insult to all our war dead.
You open your mouth and pure ****e comes spilling out.
I am seriously pished
You mean your sober the rest of the time, Ubes?!
By election triggered in Brecon and Radnorshire after recall petition successful following conviction of (Tory) MP Chris Davies for forging expense claims for £700 worth of photography (the idiot could have claimed this legitimately).
Majority of over 8,000, should be safe from the Brexit Party........let’s see Boris out campaigning!

Just the first of ever more desperate attempts to smear Boris I would imagine.
