I'd be wanting 6 or 7 people to come in with me for one. It means paying way more than an ST though, probably about twice as much per person.

The £40 million is per season if we stay up we get another 40 next season, this tv money is for each season, the other money is seperate eg increased gates, league final position payments , parachute payments etc
The premier league champions get £15m and it goes down on a sliding scale to the bottom team who get £1.75m

Yes but it wasn't all just given to us, its paid in instalments over the season, looked into it sometime ago, think its either 3 or 4 of the season.
by the way, why is this a sticky thread, it will be bumped to the top anyway as its being replied to often?

Totally agree with Jager. How come people who never had season tickets before because they would miss a few games want one now??? If they go to away games, they can still go, our away allocations will be higher. Season ticket holders put money into the club every year so Swansea city can invest, when it matters, dribs and drabs cant be counted on ( no offence). Sorry Jackash u didnt get one, bet many 1000's didnt to. There was fair warning by the club to buy, and seeing 40000 went to Wembly ( I didnt, couldnt afford it + renew season tickets) and with our 20000 seater stadium, someone was going to lose out. Suck it up mate. If we go down, there will be the same 8000 supporters there, same as last year, and I'll be one of them.

As a club we are growing. In these hard times its a rarity.
40000 to Wembley half of those could be future long term jacks. Until stadium expansion takes place this thread could take place for years to come

I have sympathy for anyone likely to miss matches due to not being able to get a ticket, but the club have done the right thing. If there are people willing to buy season tickets, you sell them. It´s as simple as that. Unfortunately, we don´t have enough seats, or so it seems, but the club have done the only thing that makes good business sense.
As Rodgers said recently, sadly there´s no room for sentiment in what is, at the end of the day, a business.

Who the **** do u think u are ' clear off' indeed!!! You seem to have taken a self appointed role of chairman , but alas u do not have the class to be one as previous had. You forget - I participated on the forums for many years, always constructively and always behind the board mr ' I hope we lose to hereford' tut tut tut. I'm not on thd boards anymore but was interested to see the set up ( which is good) and when circumstances allow I will engage fully. In the meantime lighten up and find your sense of perspective (and memory) as you used to be a decent guy !!!!
Ash, i'm not sure if this has been replied to or not, but can't be bothered to read another 2 pages of writing. I would agree that more decent fans than not, would have got their season tickets before they we who we were playing....But i dont think he's saying if you havn't got a season ticket then your not a real fan
However may non season tickets that were sold as individual tickets over the past few seasons should have been held back at least . How many individual tickets were sold last season & how many will be sold this season . That´s impossible to do though Crackerjack! You can´t say "ok, you can´t put your money on the table to buy a ST because there´s people who MIGHT decide they can make individual games!" Obviously we´d be able to sell them, but there´s no guarantees. The club have to go with definites when you´re dealing with finances.
It's better business to sell as many season tickets as possible, think 8k-9k were sold last season and 16k this one, those extra tickets sold are to people who are happy I think, we may only be in this league one season, to have about half the stadium on match day tickets in the premier league is not possible, and the market dictates how many season tickets are sold.
Also a lot of those people who were buying individual tickets last season are now season ticket holders probably, calling them plastic is not a fair reflection when they were always putting money into the club, the bottom line the swans are a business who must make money, they have done it to ensure money is in the kitty to pay for players at the onset of the season.

As soon as we won the final , they should have stopped selling tickets , sat down & planned something instead of allowing a " Cyberthon " to bypass fans that always bought at the ticket office . There was no doubt all the tickets were going to sell after we knew we were promoted . We would have been lost without those individual tickets being sold the last few seasons & those fans should have been respected . I would like to know how many individual tickets were sold last season & how many will be sold this season though , wpould anyone know those figures
Well the most individual tickets sold this coming year will depend on the away team, if they fail to fill the away allocation we´ll be allowed to take some back to improve on the 2000 tickets that will be available as standard.
The board and the people behind the scenes have a duty to secure the long term future of the club, and selling as many season tickets as possible goes a long way to doing this. I understand, being one of the people now likely to miss out on seeing any live games next year, peoples concerns, but surely you must see this was the most sensible thing for the club to do? Ok, they could possibly have done it a bit better, but as has been stated it was always likely that we´d get promotion, we were in the top three most of the season, and we´d announced we´d sold a record amount of season tickets just after the Forest game, if memory serves correctly.

Well if for example 9k season tickets were sold last season, and on average 15.5k were there including away support it would be about 6k, so how can a club sell only about 10k-11k season tickets max leaving about 6k ticket left on for match days because some fans might want to buy tickets on the day ? They can't it's as simple as that, a lot of those people buying individually are probably season ticket holders now, that is good business for the swans!
Also to put it another way, if these extra people didn't come with cash up front, and we put a cap on selling ticket at say 1Ok , that is about £2m less money to buy players, that could mean we can't bring in a player like Graham, then the swans would be accused of not being serious about staying in the league , no matter which way you look at it people would be having a go at the board!
