Not a suggestion, no. But everyone is on about business etc, and from the numbers above, it it pretty obvious which one is the better business way of selling.

Actually it would be a maximum of 18k tickets for home fans, 2k for away fans maximum and segregation taking up the remaining 500 seats, there is a possibility that those seats could be used if the away allocation is not sold out. But the season ticket sold now gives the club cash now, and not the uncertainty of are we going to sell 5k of tickets on a match day when Stoke or Norwich comes to visit , and no disrespect to them! It's about maximising profits for our club, that brings stability without worries.

Were already stable , selling 5,000 tickets during the season at the ticket office would have maximized profits , kept a lot more tickets for the locals & kept more generally happy fans & would have only meant 3 thousand less season ticket monies at the start of the season , not much in the way of funds in the swing of things these days . As it is , there are more about 7 thousand more season ticket holders than seasons past & I'll go out on a limb & say half that 7 thousand been to very , very limited games till now & wouldn't own season tickets now if not for promotion . And they'll be 7,000 part time ticket buyers without any tickets who would have been getting tickets if we were not promoted . This isn't about winners & losers Jager , this is about being fair to long time partial ticket buyers

I still ask the question - How many of these new ST's holders will renew next year, if, god forbid, we get relegated?

More than half? All of them?

They are here to see the big teams, not the Swans.

I don't like the term plastic fan. I'm more inclined to call the people who have been mentioned in this article as glory hunters. Many have said that tey know people that have bought ST and only seen less than a handfull of games. I will be with many not getting tickets for the up and coming season. Being a 320mile round trip and only getting to about 7-8 home games a ST is pointless for me and my son, due to other comitments on Saturday's . Each home game costs me over £150 in expense. The point I don't like is people saying the remaining tickets should only be available to personal callers at The Liberty, now that really bugs me how can I just driving down and probably wait all night to get tickets, that would mean a day off work, and I'm sorry I love The Swans, but that would just discriminate against us exiled fans. I remember cold and raining FA Cup nights at Horsham & Havant, Northampton, Port Vale. The glory hunters probably never been to Vale Park. I wholly agree with the club needing to maximise there income during these heady days, and I, unfortunatley will be one of the many fans who won't get tickets for probably very few games. But I will always support my team, be it Premier League or League Two as I have done for over 30 years.

Neveroffside - Agree 100% with what you just said. Forgot about the "personal callers" only bit. Ridiculous, especially for the likes of us who live miles away.

Only meant decisions would be made at the ticket office on a case by case procedure for the 5,000 tickets . neveroffside would be part of the plan . It would be clearly seen that he bought 7 0r so tickets & he would be looked after . I just don't want those 5,000 tickets bought as season tickets to anyone pressing a button without knowing a bit of there previous buying history . Let the other 13,000 season tickets be a pushbutton frenzy .

A lot of those partial ticket buyers are now season ticket holders I am betting, and of those who have bought they are all fans of the club, and you have just given my argument the answer, those people who before have only bought limited amounts of tickets have now bought a full season ticket, therefore increased the cashflow for the club, and the club were very very fair they allowed people to buy a season ticket cheaper than a hell of a lot of clubs, gave a voucher for early takers, and kept fans updated on the club website about ticket sales.

And still 2k+ tickets will still on sale for every game, and a lot of the people you are saying are losing out, won't be because they have already bought, we are just going around in circles here, there is limited amount of seats available because of the stadium design and short sighted people in the grants for the stadium, because of that we have a substandard stadium for the premier league, something I pointed out here more than 3 years ago

I'm just playing devil's advocate here, I don't think the club have done too much wrong. I am also an away fan looking to get one of these 2k tickets.

My question is whether all of those 2k tickets will be snapped up by season ticket holders (who get priority booking) before they even go on general sale?

    Just something further to debate.

Kizzy - ARGH. More fuel in the fire lol.

Again, never thought of that. ST holders will get priority - Again - and purchase for friends and family. So, people like us that live miles away and don't have friends who have ST, will still miss out.

If they do get priority then in my opinion people will have a genuine gripe, I hope that won't occur though

Well if that where to happen when they have already got a ST, then I think there would rightly be one hell of an uproar!...............

Am I right in thinking that being a foundation member gives me similar rights to a ST holder, as I'm just filling out the application form.

Dragon - Are you talking about the Trust Card? I will certainly be renewing mine this year.

If it's the same as this year, the Trust card only gave you priority over general sale. ST holders still get priority over Trust members. Still a must for this season though.

Never - Join the Swans Supporters Trust. If gives you as much right as a ST holder and will hopefully give us all a better chance of tickets.

Good to know, cheers Dragon. I'll be the first one on the phone when the ticket office opens for the first game.

The Trust should be big winners this season, which is fantastic news. Excellent scheme and everyone should sign up!
