An absolutely insane talent - made it look easy and no one got close to her. 22 yo and a silver, then gold in consecutive Olympics. I could see her taking the 40 year old slightly dicey world record if she stays injury free in the next 4 years.

She completely bossed that race.
Bent it to her will from the off and controlled every aspect it. Specifically at the break she just powered up slightly to position herself on the Ethiopian girl's shoulder and on the back straight heading home she pushed those chasing her out wide by stepping to her right half a metre.
And once she hit the home straight she just opened her legs and showed her class - as Ronnie Pickering would have said.

Even though she's so young she's really put in the hard yards.
Also consider that as a teenager she needed surgery to remove a tumour that left her unable to walk for a while and with significant permanent hearing loss.
Given the **** storm the country is currently facing it's great to have some really positive news.
