That’s just not true.
He reached world number 1 in an era dominated by 3 of the greatest to ever play the sport. Not to mention winning three grand slams and 2 Olympic singles (and a silver in doubles). He also took Britain to the Davis Cup win, we’d have had no chance without him.
Alongside Nadal, Federer and Djokovic they dominated Semi Finals in Grand Slams for years.
He’s basically got no ankles due to physical issues at birth, He’s not competed properly since his hip issues but he’s elongated his career with a metal bloody hip years after he thought he was going to have to retire.
He survived a school shooting, cried on tv multiple times, helped many younger players, criticised British tennis for not doing enough, promoted female sport and, yes, I think he’s quite funny.
I’m not sure what more he could have done to enter the conversation?
