Do you think that would remain the case if you played for two seasons at the Stadium of Light? That's about the same distance as Wembley is from Tottenham.
At half-time Pochettino came down from his seat, next to chairman Daniel Levy in the directors' box, to say the occasion made him feel like crying and gave a short speech, sounding very much like a man who will be here next season too. (Taken from BBC Football article) This will make for extremely uncomfortable reading for Pixie.
I think they'd probably all still go to be honest but I wouldn't want to be the one having to police it. If we were challenging at the top end of the table as you guys have been each week I reckon we'd half fill Wembley each week ourselves but there's as much sadness as there is pride in that sentence. 13 miles across London is a longer distance and in fairness I hadn't really realised it was as far as that. Attendance this season has been realistically around 45k mark (aside from the 3 big games in which you had 80k fans it has averaged 44,000) and that's a decent turn-out given the novelty factor ran out some time ago.
The distance is a bit shorter than 13 miles but the travel time is a lot longer. Anyone who can walk to White Hart Lane has got about two hours of travelling to get to Wembley and back. Last year everyone bought season tickets knowing that to be the case, but this year because of the last minute switch, everyone with a season ticket at the new stadium was given the opportunity to have a refund for any match they didn't attend and that depressed a lot of the less popular matches. We've sold 42,000 season tickets and about 8,000 premium seat packages for the new stadium and with 3,000 reserved for away fans I think we will be at full capacity for the rest of the season. I can't see that changing next season.
Yeh, well now you know what it's like for United fans! Get a grip man, some of ours have to travel from the other side of the world ffs!
50k is a lot to have sold already and doesn't leave much for members sale, particularly when you get a big or London club in the FA Cup.
Chelsea could listen to offers in excess of £43m for 18-year-old England winger Callum Hudson-Odoi. (Sport Bild, via Metro) We've definitely got to be interested at that price.
