The problem is that these people always put their bags/briefcases on the seat by the window and they always sit on the seat to the left of their briefcases. That means I would have to climb over the table and them which would be slighty awkward... I normally ask him quite loudly to move his stuff so I can sit down. I get a funny look from the bloke but at least a get a seat!
I wouldn't call it cynical, this is pretty much the only time to show it (if this is the normal time for Life Stories), no point trying to compete with MotD for the same audience when you can get almost all of it when it isn't there.
