Just had another look on Paddy and they've got something very strange - Moyes is 6/1 to be our next manager. However, they also have a different special market for Moyes next permanent job and he's 25/1 for us. How does that work?

So basically, if you think there's any chance he might get our job do it that way. I might have one of my free bets on it.

Moyes doesn't fit our philosophy.

Lambert has the Moyes affliction in my opinion, perhaps not as severely though yet.

The big Aston Villa job seemed to crush him, after looking very bright at Colchester and Norwich. Now he's a browned Autumn leaf floating towards the sewer in Barmston Drain as well.

Or a discarded butterfly cocoon. Still an organism, just an empty dead one.

Or a dead bird filled with wasps. It looks like it's moving, but it's just being eaten violently from inside.

You get the idea. He's a similar shade of grey to Moyes and looks like he's got separated from his carer in a busy shopping centre just like he does.

Maybe time to enjoy the money he's made rather than let the slide continue somewhere else.

Yeah he seems really pragmatic / cautious / dull now when his early teams were all about dynamic attacking football.

Yeah I know, I don't think we'll appoint him, but it doesn't change that they've ****ed up. He's essentially priced at both 6/1 and 25/1 for the same thing.

It happens quite often in various markets to be honest, where the same outcome can net you more by betting on it one way rather than another.

It was this mornings discussion on TS.. Paul Elliott was on (he was a top player).. he's good friends with Steve Clarke (ex Chelsea Number 2, WBA) he's desperate to get back in but just cannot see a way in... the top also discussed black managers/ would be managers in the game and how they can't even get an interview..Foreign managers are very much flavour of the month and its filtering down the tiers..

Maybe we should put Sterlings name forward. I think he'd make a great choice. He clearly knows a lot about the game, he probably knows more about obscure players in obscure leagues than anyone in the world bagging us lots of cheap bargains, and I'm fairly sure his CV will include taking North Ferriby to at least a top half premier league finish on championship manager.

He should at least make a chief scout role.

Is that still a thing?

I'm still a player anyway, no management until my legs are ****ed. So probably sometime in August.

Also, if you were to become manager we would finally have a forum member who is allowed to criticise things such as team selection, substitutions, tactics etc.
