He had a gap in his employment which looks bad, so it was a surprise he got the job in Jan.If he was good enough in January then surely he was good enough in August seeing as he didn't work in the months between so his CV was exactly the same.

Know 3 people who have died recently. One 11 years younger than me, one 4 years younger and one 3 years younger.
As my old French teacher use to shout in exasperation, "For God's sake liven up, we are all dying at the same rate, a day at a time".
McLaren, Adkins, and moyes are awful, regardless of what they achieved 5-6 years ago, no one seems to think Pearson is a joke, just that the allams wouldn't hire him.Seems half the managers mentioned are seen as joke candidates. Adkins, Moyes, McClaren, Pearson etc have all done excellent jobs in the past but it seems like as soon as one trigger happy owner sacks someone they're cast as a joke figure and that's that.
Nothing wrong with WOY....You dont get to be the England manager if you dont have some qualities...
So Ehab said he wanted to have the manager in in 2 weeks, with a week now having passed (more or less). Surprised that no concrete news has come out. Was there any truth to the Allams meeting with Monk?
I'd not heard they had, were did you hear this sydSo Ehab said he wanted to have the manager in in 2 weeks, with a week now having passed (more or less). Surprised that no concrete news has come out. Was there any truth to the Allams meeting with Monk?

The only thing I've seen was that mock up picture in hallmark car parkJust seen it floated on Twitter by some who occasionally seem to have the inside track, but on others seem to be BSing, so wanted to see if anyone else had heard similar.
If this is true they must know who it's going to be or at least have more than 1 decent candidate who wants the job.According to the Hull press a new manager will be appointed in the next 2 weeks.

But the names on the bookies lists are just names of all available managers who they think might be interested in the job. There's no surety that any of them would actually accept an offer from Hull City if one were made, hence my scepticism about this 2-week timeframe, unless things are much further on than we know. Not likely mate, see my previous post. ...
Common sense tells you two weeks is about right, and the names are just those from sky bet or similar
