Who advises Ehab on searching for a manager? Silva was an unknown entity to everyone yet he arrived on someone's advice. If Ehab can do left field once, surely he can/might try to do it again.

He applied in summer and was turned down by the boy wonder. His agent approached again and Ehab needed someone and decided he now looked good after dismissing the idea of appointing him when we could have had for a full season.
Nothing to do with acumen on Ehab's part or an adviser. Does he have any advisers? A waste of money employing advisers when you won't take advice.

Maybe we should put Sterlings name forward. I think he'd make a great choice. He clearly knows a lot about the game, he probably knows more about obscure players in obscure leagues than anyone in the world bagging us lots of cheap bargains, and I'm fairly sure his CV will include taking North Ferriby to at least a top half premier league finish on championship manager.

He should at least make a chief scout role.

Didn't he once go to the wrong country to see a game?

Of course Ehab deserves some credit for appointing him when he did, even if he was recommended. I agree with much of the criticism of him but its weakened if cant give him credit when he gets something right.. I suspect some of those who are now criticising him for not appointing Silva back in August would have criticised him if he'd done so - just because it's Ehab.

Not at all. His ****ing about before the start of last season in appointing a manager and the consequent scrambling about for players cost us dearly. And I fear it will again this year.

They were chasing the millions from the Chinese in all the preseason instead of looking after the club.

I can see why youre panicking... you dont have many seasons left... you old people dont..
<smirk>

Know 3 people who have died recently. One 11 years younger than me, one 4 years younger and one 3 years younger.

As my old French teacher use to shout in exasperation, "For God's sake liven up, we are all dying at the same rate, a day at a time".

I agree his indecision at start of last season was disastrous for us. It was the implication that he should obviously have appointed Silva last August that I thought was 20/20 hindsight.

If he was good enough in January then surely he was good enough in August seeing as he didn't work in the months between so his CV was exactly the same.

I agree, Allams comments on signing Silva (not getting on the English manager merry go round) reflect this.

I expect it to be a young oversea manager with his own staff, contacts and a plan already in place on how he will rebuild the squad.

Who that will be is anyone's guess.

Anyone out there with much knowledge of football abroad? ?

Who you gonna call. Call Ehab. de de de de de de de de
