Hey guy's

Just an idea to try out here, The LFC Today thread.

A thread about what's going on with LFC each day, whether its news from training, contracts, TV, matches or any thing else connected to LFC each day, it can be seen and discussed here.

So, day 1.

Monday 6 June:

Liverpool FC have announced they will play an all Malaysian 11 during their tour of China this summer. The Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur will host the match with kick-off at 5.45pm local time on the 16th July.

LFC Managing Director Ian Ayre said: "At Liverpool FC we take these games very seriously. The game in Malaysia will be an important part of our preparations for the 2011-12 campaign and it's a chance for all our fans in Malaysia to get up close to their heroes.

"The match will be a piece of football history as this is the first time Liverpool FC will be stepping on Malaysian soil and it has created a lot of excitement," said Julian Kam, CEO of ProEvents, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Malaysia this year. "The Reds have a massive base of football fans in Malaysia.

In other news Dirk Kuyt has said he now feels like he is in a team capable of trophies.

And former player Danny Murphy has apparently asked Fulham to appoint him as the clubs new permanent manager.

Young defender Danny Wilson is being linked to return to former club Rangers on a season long loan.

Liverpool target Ashley Young is having major talks with Aston Villa chairman Randy Lerner over his future at the club.

Great idea Bozz.
In other news,Reports suggest that Liverpool have increased their bid for Jordan Henderson to £18.5 million.

Thread will work during the season, but have a feeling that over the summer most of the LFC news will be over in the "rumours and transfers" thread.

Seems like a good idea. It can store the news which isn't massively important but is still interesting. <ok>

Tuesday 07 June 2011:

Luis Suarez has revealed how a philosophy adopted in the early stages of his footballing life is behind his seamless transition to the English game.

"Early on in my football career I learned that you never give up," he told LFC Weekly. "You never give up on a ball as a lost cause, you fight for everything, you never drop your head for one minute and you keep trying until the last whistle.
"It's good that from those early stages I have managed to create a good impression with the fans.''

A quiet day so far I am afraid. But with rumours that Henderson will complete his move today, this could become a lot more.

-

Liverpool have just announced that they will not be visiting Korea on this summers Asian tour. My guess is safety reasons.

I wonder what Fernando learnt from a young age. 'If the ball isn't within two yards of you, it's somebody else's duty to collect it'?

Tuesday 07 June 2011: Update

The BBC are now reporting that Liverpool are in talks to sign 20 year old England midfielder Jordan Henderson from Sunderland, with the current offer believed to be £16million. Kenny Dalglish hopes to have the deal agreed before Henderson leaves with the England U21's.

Ya this one looks a bit more concrete and likely our first signing. Didn't really see this one coming to be honest ( not talking recently but before during the spring part of the season)
