    Sunday 12th June 20011:

Steven Gerrard has said that bring Champions League Football back to Anfield next season will be Liverpools top priority.

The skipper knows our revival under Kenny Dalglish will raise expectations for 2011-12 - and despite believing the future is bright, he is keen not to make any promises about what can be achieved.

(Good there by Gerrard making sure not raise hopes to high or put to much weight on his and his team mates shoulders)

    -

Jordan Henderson is expected to start for England agains Spains to night in the opening Euro under 21's game.

    13 June 2011:

Anfield has been clearly glowing with broodiness lately, and now Martin Skrtel has announced he is soon to become a father. No ones going to mess with that kid at school!

The wives or partners of Fabio Aurelio, Jay Spearing, Steven Gerrard and Dirk Kuyt are all pregnant - while Glen Johnson, Pepe Reina, Christian Poulsen and Lucas Leiva have each celebrated births in the last few months.

"Yes, I can confirm this news," Skrtel said. "Barbora is five months pregnant and it is a boy.

Liverpool Football Club's Stadium Tours and Museum are celebrating having picked up the Best Large Visitor Attraction title at The Merseyside Partnership Annual Tourism Awards 2011.

The Large Visitor Attraction category was made up of seven finalists, and LFC beat off stiff competition from Albert Dock, Merseyside Maritime Museum, The Beatles Story, Knowsley Safari Park, Spaceport and Mersey Ferries to win the award.

Liverpool Football Club will now go forward to represent Liverpool City Region in the Large Visitor Attraction category of the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence next year.

    -

Luis Suarez believes Liverpool can challenge the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea next term - but only if they replicate their form so far under Kenny Dalglish for an entire season.

    -

A very nice block of light hearted news.

Maybe this explains Skrtels sudden rise in form. He really has had a busy year.

I was just reading back through the articel and found that suarez is no 1 shirt sale.... i find this very interesting as mr torres and gerrard were no 1 with 30k per year each. I wonde i f gerrard has gone down or if in fact the merchandising gold mine we offloaded to the pensioner club has been replaced by an even better one... lol

^ I reckon people were just very excited about the new man in town.

    Tuesday 14 June 2011:

Jordan Henderson has said he is not just a middle man and is ready to prove his versatility to get a regular spot in the Liverpool team. (So more hints that he will play on the right).

    -

Alvaro Arbeloa has thank Kenny Dalglish for making him able to enjoy watching Liverpool again, and has heaped the praise on Lucas and Suarez.

Shirt sales were probably as a result of alot of people needing a new shirt around about january as their old one had become tainted with a bitter taste!!!
However Suarez fully deserved to be the top name, cant fault him since hes arrived, but would like to see lucas a bit higher on that list though.

Martin Kelly is the latest player to praise the arrival of Jordan Henderson, claiming he has all the attributes to be a top star.

"Jordan's a great lad and really down to earth," he told LFC Weekly. "We get on really well and I'm made up that he's made a mark on Sunderland's first-team over the last few seasons. He has everything you need to become a footballer at the highest level.

"The thing I like about him most is that he keeps it nice and simple. You can give him the ball under pressure and he will always keep it, even in the tightest situations.

"He's very patient in possession and if you're under pressure you can give it to him and he'll take the sting out of a game and keep things ticking over.'

Treble heroes Patrik Berger and Stephane Henchoz will line-up for Liverpool legends in the Selco Mersey Masters at the Echo Arena on Saturday.

The duo will join other stars from Liverpool's illustrious past in the tournament that also includes teams from Everton, Tranmere Rovers, Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers and Blackpool.

    15th June continued:

Maxi Rodriguez has hinted at a Liverpool exit.

Liverpool winger Maxi Rodriguez could be on his way back to boyhood club Newell's Old Boys in Argentina.

The 30-year-old international revealed he had agreed a move in principle.

Rodriguez came through the youth set-up at the Rosario-based Newell's Old Boys before moving to Espanyol in 2002.

"The president [William Lorenzo] called me and I said 'yes'," said Rodriguez. "It depends on the contract I have in Liverpool. Maybe that can be loosened a little."

    -

I personally would be sad to see him go.

Yeah, he was bang on form in the latter parts of the season. However, I wouldn't be too sad to see him go. He has been pretty inconsistent in his time at Liverpool. If he does go, I wish him all the best for the rest of his career.

A little sad but not teary sad. Of all the possible sales he'd be last on the list. But he was playing because Carroll was out and if we get wingers his chances would be reduced further. If he's willing to go it saves us buying out his contract and it opens a slot in the squad for incoming. Everybody wins.

I agree. It may open a slot for Raheem Sterling when he turns 17 in December and signs pro forms.

dunno about sterling. when he's 17 he'll be playing euro football at reserve level and won't be seen near the seniors after preseason.

good player but needs a bit of growth and development in terms of passing the ball and not being selfish (sometimes)

I could see Sterling getting a sub's run out in the Carling Cup, especially if we're ahead.

    Thursday 16th June 2011:

Four young players have been released, confirming the first exits of the summer.

Reserve-team quartet Deale Chamberlain, Steven Irwin, Alex Cooper and Nikola Saric have left the Reds following the expiry of their contracts.

Liverpool Football Club would like to wish them all the best for the future.

    -

Liverpool have unveiled a new third cut. White with a blue trim. (I agree with the people saying the blues not right. It should be the tradition colours).

Its an ok kit design though.

    -

Luis Suarez has said he feels no burden from wearing the number 7 shirt.
