Wed 8th June 2011: Liverpool and Sunderland have agreed a fee for young midfielder Jordan Henderson. The deal is believed to be worth £20million, but could see David N'Gog going the other way. - Jordan Henderson is on his way to Liverpool for a medical and to discuss personal terms. - Liverpool have also revealed their 10 most popular shirt names. Here is the top 10: 1. Suarez 2. Gerrard 3. Carroll 4. Kuyt 5. Carragher 6. Meireles 7. Reina 8. Lucas 9. Agger 10. Kelly
Meireles would be higher, but most people forget how to spell his name when they come to have them printed!
Thursday 09 June 2011: No knew news on Jordan Henderson so far today. In fact a pretty quiet day on that front. - Liverpool FC is delighted to announce the Club will be kicking off their tour of Asia with a game in China against Guangdong Sunray Cave on Wednesday July 13. It is the Reds' first ever game in mainland China. The other match in the tour will be played in Malaysia. The confirmed Asia Tour fixtures are as follows: Wednesday July 13 - Guangdong Sunray Cave v Liverpool FC in the Tianhe Stadium, Guangzhou. 8pm kick-off local time. Saturday July 16 - Malaysian XI v Liverpool FC in the Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur. 5.45pm kick-off local time.
Jordan Henderson is now training with the England U21 squad so there will be no immediate unveiling at Anfield. So we can take for granted that the deal has been done otherwise a statement would have been made by the club
fair enough. I feel this Asian tour will be VERY profitable for LFC, the Asian fans, the finance and the academy's out there.
I got this on my facebook page that Liverpool have identified two alternatives to Jose Enrique in Aly Cissokho and Nacho Monreal(Who plays for Osasuna)Either will cost in the region of £9 million.
Thursday 9th June 2011 extension: Dirk Kuyt and Luis Suarez both found the net as Uruguay beat the Netherlands in a friendly. Uruguay and currently warming up for the Copa De Americia. Lets hope Suarez has a great Tournament, with no handballs needed this time.
Thursday 9th June updated. Again: Liverpool have completed the signing of Jordan Henderson from Sunderland for £20million. Henderson has now flown out to Denmark to join the England under 21's. Fifa named Henderson one of 13 young players to watch in 2011. David N'Gog is having talks with Sunderland over a possible deal.
Hey guys, sorry for such a late update. Its been a busy day. But fortunetly, I have nothing to report. Friday 10th June 2011: A very quiet day. Steven Gerrard has welcomed the arrival of Jordan Henderson and has said he feels he can return from injury stronger than ever.
LOL I was in bed at that time. Any way, back to business. Saturday 11th June 2011: Another quiet day in LFC land. New signing Henderson has dismissed fear of fatigue in the England under 21 camp (not quite Liverpool news I know). Damien Camolli has insisted that Jordan Henderson is just the start of a big spending summer.
Speculation: The back page of tomorrow's Daily Mail makes for interesting viewing - it basically says Man United's bid for Phil Jones is in tatters and that Liverpool have stepped in with a £22million offer uhhhh.... not sure what to make of that..... steep comes to mind
