Never been to NZ - but would love to go. Used to live in Croxley so I am not arguing with you

I see we are coming up to 3,000 posts - we have left Leicester far far behind - but of course are not even in sight of Hull

Oh come on! There are parts of Croxley that are quite nice. Not sure i'd want to live there again though. Probably couldn't afford it anyway.

Well, there's the place that I ...... and the place that I shouldn't have ..... or the place that i nearly got caught doing .... and that girl that worked in the chip shop - shame she smelt of stale fried fat

NZ, how easy is it to track people down, normally of course, over there? I have relatives who moved in the early 1900s to NZ and the last I have been able to track down is a photograph of them in the 1930s. There are a number of family tracing facilities in the UK, are there similar internet search sites down there?

Isn't it just bloody typical - I decide to book a flight to Abu Dhabi at Easter on BA and then those wasters vote to go on strike again. I wonder when they will down trolleys....:headbang: :emoticon-0121-angry

That is a surprise. The good news is Scott Loach was not playing.

Was difficult to listen to the football as Little Ak was fighting tonight again, every monday she does that.

Frenchie, I don't know of any family tracing facilities but I have never looked for them. Once you get a lead it should be fairly easy to find people. There is a belief here that there is only two degrees of separation between people. Ie if you don't know someone you will know someone who does. If the surname is fairly uncommon you could start by looking in the Auckland phone book, as a third of the population is in Auckland. I could start searching for you, if you like, but you may not want to give information on here. I'm sure we can work something out.

Thanks NZ,

I will gather together the bits that I have and send you something off line. The picture I have was taken in Auckland on Anzac day and shows my grandmothers sister and husband. It might take me a while to put it together.
