Iceland have the better and beat England

Iceland and England played the Under-21 national team practice match which took place in Preston, England. Iceland made little and beat England 2:1 with goals from Arnór Smárason and Hólmar Örn Eyjólfsson. Nathan Delfouneso scored England. Great victory of the Icelandic team in the final match before the Euro in Denmark this summer.
The English goal Delfouneso one after the stabbing pass from Danny Rose and sent the ball past the goalkeeper Haraldur Björnsson Bank. The Icelanders, however, equalissed three minutes before the end of the half. Alfred Finnbogason Icelands best man in the game, then won the ball in the middle of the pitch and sent the stabbing pass to goalscorer, Arnold Smárason. The winning goal came after a corner in the 66th minute. Hólmar Örn Eyjólfsson jumped highest of all the team and scored with a header at the post and after the corner from the Arnór Smárason, splendid outcome for 2:1.

And me. I still haven't seen Coventry score against Watford at the Ricoh Arena, or at Highfield Road for that matter, and I have seen this fixture more than any other on our travels.

Reflecting the glory - well done Ak.

Morning all, hope all is well!

yorkshirehornet - what sort of problems did you encounter when travelling to Coventry?! I know it is a pretty grim place, and just the thought of going to Coventry is enough to make a grown man cry. Take a look at this - http://thingsandstuffandeverything.wordpress.com/2010/04/19/just-say-no/ This is a story of one of my visits to Birmingham...

    Morning all
Been away from the nest for a few days so lots to catch up on. Not least the takeover, a £2.5m loss, a 1-2 victory for little Islanders and BBWs new job. Good luck!
I'm thinking it could be a long morning chatting (or perhaps more likely listening since I do have work to do ... only popped in as I'm waiting on a 10.00 conference call.
Thanks for the coffee Ak, keep em coming.

For the football and not the ice hockey.

New Zealand womens ice hockey team beat Ísland 3-1 in Reykjavík in the World Cup Division IV.

Aaah, see. I'm sure oldfrenchhorn won't mind me saying, but it's a French car!!

That's a bugger though. What actually happened?! Because that is quite a catastrophic failure!

I suppose, that £4,000 becomes insignificant given the fact we won... Just keep telling yourself that!

I should just point out here, with reference to my comment about French Automotive Engineering.

I currently don't have a car, working in London and that (NOT FOR LONG!!), but my history of cars is:

    Peugeot 205
    Peugeot 106
    Renault Megane

I will be using my girlfriends car to get to work when I start my new job whilst I save up for a car of my own. Can you guess what car is at the top of my list to purchase?! A Renault Clio...
