Off topic a bit, but is now not a good time to increase the stadium capacity? It wont impact on match day attendance as no one can go into the ground at the moment, and surely they’ll gladly welcome more people when the lockdown ends to try and claw back some of the lost revenue. Does a stadium upgrade count against the FFP?

To said in some program notes that the planning permission would be submitted by the end of the year I think. Even if approved immediately it'll still take some time to actually start. Although we're obviously still intending to progress with it you have to wonder how the pandemic will impact our finances to proceed exactly as planned.

If we'd already got permission and funding wasn't an issue it would've been a great time to commence.

Or even the normal amount of people (or even less) but distanced out somewhat but still meaning a higher attendance than distancing with the current capacity.

We spent £100m on the new training ground - is where the bulk of the money from the Mahrez and Maguire transfers went to which balanced out FFP.

Seems like Chliwell's transfer fee is going to be used to cancel out the lost revenue from having no fans so we really don't have the money to spend atm.

Andy King and Danny Simpson are training with us while they are looking for new clubs - surprised they haven't been snapped up so far.

CONGRATULATIONS HARVEY BARNES

We're confirmed for Pot 2, draw at 12pm today. If the draw is anything like the CL draw we should know who we're playing by about 3pm...

How do we end up in Pot 2 after finishing above Spuds and Goons and them having to come through qualifying?

Just changing the subject, saw a YouTube video on Will Alves a 15 year old with city. Amazing. It staggers me how good kids keep getting and how this game develops, its like the next level Maddison. It is the beautiful game.

European coefficient score over the last 5 years (i.e. a way for the big clubs to screw over teams on the up).

Group G
Braga, Leicester, AEK Athens, Zorya Luhansk

We will have trips to Portugal, Greece and Poland - not too bad considering.

on paper an "easy" group

Portugal, Greece and Ukraine. Although Luhansk currently can't play their games at home due to civil unrest. Matches are scheduled for elsewhere in Ukraine which I can't spell <laugh>

Loving that draw, that’s what Europa is all about. I actually wasn’t sure what Eastern backwater Zorya were from! Braga and Athens would have been good away trips in better times...
Seems a winnable group anyway

We've come a hell of a long way from getting into Europe in the MON era with a band of journeyman .. this squad has such potential ... never thought I'd see days like these <cheers>

I was just too young for MON era, Micky Adams was when I got into it. Needless to say many grim years to get through there.
I think this is more exciting than the CL, I was actually secretly hoping that if we’d go top 4 that we’d get a group with two giants and finish 3rd to have a winnable run in the EL after new year. It was disappointing to drop out after the lead we had and we know how the financial impact is important for the club (albeit not for us as fans) but I’m really looking forward to this tournament <cheers>
