I would never expect the club to come out publically with most of that. Stuff like finances/transfers are best kept quiet so as not to get stung on wages/fees. In terms of ambition, yes they could say more but maybe that’s what they have done through Puel. I don’t want us to be a club that shout publically from the roof tops saying we will do this and that and falling on our faces. As long as ambition is sold to potential signings I am comfortable with how the club is operating. Financially wise we are not even best of the rest as Puel mentions and the likes of Leeds coming up will be another attractive proposition for players. We need a USP so investing in young players rather than the West Ham/Wolves/Everton method seems sensible imo
Ive said many time I like alot about Puel. His vision of youth is the way to go IMO. But he then doesnt help himself by playing Morgan over Dragovic last year. Choudhury falls off the face of the earth all season until a few games ago
My major issues with him is his team selection, subs and tactics
I really dont get why we are scared of being tagged as the counter attacking team. We won the league doing it. Against the better sides thats how we should play. When we play the lesser teams like Southampton today we will play slow, predicatable sideways and backwards football. Thats why I wanted Harvey Barnes back
The other issues with Puel is his transfer business. He is saying we wont sign anyone but then sells Iborra with Silva and King set to follow. Doesnt he realise Ndidi, Mendy and Choudhury is near enough the same player. Neither offers something different or something going forward.
He did the same last season and again in the summer by getting rid of Slimani, Ulloa and Musa leaving us lacking options and heavily relying on Vardy
With Puel as soon as I think we have taken 1 step foward he slaps us in the face with some stupid decisions.
