Loved reading this this morning:

In Bordeaux, Nicolas Zimmerman, a barman at the Charles Dickens pub, said Wales fans were now "brothers".

He said there was no trouble, adding the "Wales fans know how to party".

"It was intense," he said. "A lot of Welsh people. There was no trouble. With Welsh people we have a really good atmosphere. They are really friendly, they sing a lot. They are really good fans actually."

Alex Alim, assistant manager at the Houses of Parliament pub in Bordeaux was also full of praise for the "amazing atmosphere".

Mr Alim, originally from London, said it was "a big red riot but a very nice one" outside the bar.

 

It surprises me that the Marseille authorities struggled to deal with the fan violence last night. It's not like the threat of violence at football is a new thing for them, they have PSG coming to town at least once a season. They seem to cope ok with that, barring the odd incident.

I have a little concern here. The Welsh have behaved impeccably and yet they too have a rather unsavoury minority; I'm hoping they have not been able to travel rather, than be saving themselves for England. In Euro 2000, there was a lot of Welsh hooligans involved in the trouble.

 

Yes, I'm worried about Thursday too, though I'm hoping that the huge majority of Welsh fans who are basking in the plaudits of being recognised as being such excellent fans will stop any trouble from happening. Naive, I know...

 

Don't know what to expect from croatia, our team is a bit of a mystery to all of us.

UEFA have stamped their foot down. Russia charged and have warned both Russia and England they face being kicked out of the tournament if there is any more violence.

 

Slight;y taken aback that they have done something. How about taking the World Cup off Russia. Nah, couldn't do that. That's a FIFA matter.
