Sturgeon needs to keep deflecting attention from the failing of the Scottish Parliament. The EU won't take them and there's little appetite for a break in Scotland anyway.

That's highly debatable!..

Scotland voted to remain part of a U.K. that was an EU member. Whether they would vote to remain if the EU were to indicate acceptance of them, is another matter entirely .

May's ****ed. I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't make it to the next election.

She's being battered from every angle.

Boris could see all of this coming hence him bottling the leadership.

As usual you've failed to grasp the bigger picture.

A single region of Belgium just killed the chances of a successful Brexit by rejecting an 'ultimatum' over a landmark EU deal

I understand Belgium's internal federal structure, but it does seem a tad ridiculous that one region of one country can **** up a deal that theoretically would benefit many millions of both EU and Canadian citizens.

The polls suggest there's no appetite, and the EU isn't an option. Scotland can't stand alone.

You think the Clinton's are reasonable?

He's a sexual predator that bombed a medical centre to detract media attention regarding one of his lies about affairs. She is stark bonkers.
No, thats my point, even a reasonable party can fall under the leadership of a ****.
And if I were a religious man, I would say that Hillary is more akin to the Devil incarnate.
But the DNC ****ed themselves by rigging their primary.
Bernie Sanders was the democratic candidate the public wanted.

If there was any sign of acceptance from the EU, they'd be off like a shot!...

Not according to the polls, and there's no real chance they could meet the requirements or that they'd be able to overcome the Countries that would veto them.

Dont they need permission from the government for a referendum?

Yes, technically. But good luck trying to resist the political pressure, should such an event occur. The SNP would stir things up badly.

It's moot at the moment. Whilst negotiations are going on I don't think the EU would consider any application from Scotland. They can't really, they're still part of the UK.

If and when we've finally left, maybe they would then look at an application from an independent Scotland.

Who says anybody would veto them?

And there are no polls that suggest that Scots wouldn't vote for independence if the U.K. departs the single market!

They voted heavily to remain a part of he EU. There's nothing to suggest they wouldn't vote that way again, given the chance.
