A lot of people said the same things when Mandy went.... and look at the players his transfer fee helped fund.

WP, I don't think you can "confirm it" til after the jan window has begun... BBC Sport has the Debuchy deal as one of the top headlines, so it's probably all done, just awaiting the date now... But I won't anticipate anything just yet!

I think we will lose one more 'big' player. Probably Tiote to a London Club for £15m.
We add the Ba money in (less his 33% cut) and our pot is £20m.
That should fund Debuchy (£5m), Remy (£10m) and Douglas (£3m) and also leave £2m for Sissokho... simples.....
The above doesn't take into account Mike dipping into his pocket or even the additional sale of, say Simmo.
All in all this will be a decent window for us.
Everyone seems to be assuming that full replacements will be made.

Yeah all the top clubs are having to let their top players to for peanuts, rumour has it Rooney has a 7 million pound release clause ???? Get real the only realise clause are for top dollar but not A price you would expect to pay for a top championship player ffs
I hope the club has got all the leg work done on his replacement and its just a chase of signing as surely the club has made plans for this as its not a SHOCK as we can't afford one game with out a replacement as we are so screwed with lack of players thanks to fat mike and it will be another nail In our relagation coffin
We paid bugger all for Ba, when nobody would touch him due to his "time bomb knee", we've had 18 months service with a shed load of goals too. If he wants to go for a big pay day can't really blame him. As it stands he'll be off at the start of the window giving us more time to get the squad in shape and balanced rather than trying to conduct all of our business on the last day and missing targets.

Partly agree however that season we could have gone down as thanks to mike we were wafer thin up top with the likes of Peter lovs Leon best (who did well granted)and he brought in kuqi has we were desperate
