There was a time when I was universally respected by everyone.

Inside, I don't feel that anything has changed.

But I'm firing off some top wums, and it feels like I'm wading through mud to get any appreciation.

A good wumster doesn't turn bad over night.

Haven’t you just described the way of the world?

I don’t believe there is a deep state, but as Tobes says, there are people with their finger in the pie that have a lot of power, and by power, I mean wealth.

In any business though, to make it to the top you have to sacrifice certain aspects of your beliefs to be successful in that role. It’s not going to change, and never will.
 
Somehow this thing became about hiags "wumming" <laugh> <doh>

Billionaires are greedy and have more influence than normal people, go figure. Right up until normal people storm their buildings and behead them, see France.

Plenty of countries operate without influence of billionaires, see Scandinavia not allowing Amazon.

Seems like this theory depends on the amount of weed you're smoking at the time.
