DeAndre Yedlin has been waiting in the wings to find out what the future holds for him this season. There has apparently been plenty of interest across Europe, but with every window on the main continent now closed, the options are limited for the American International. Any kind of news coming out about Yedlin has to be treated with some kind of seriousness, given we're under three hours to go in the window. According to journalist Mike McGrath, Sunderland have apparently stepped in to show interest in taking on Yedlin for the season. McGrath has done pieces for multiple outlets and he's followed by a decent amount of journalists and agents in the sport, so this isn't crazy, especially since a loan to a Premier League club would make plenty of sense. Sunderland could certainly use the help as their defense has been nothing short of awful, though this rumor doesn't say whether he'd play at fullback or up higher as a midfielder/winger. We'll see if anything comes of this. It feels like it could be a thing, but we'll share in everyone's skepticism if this just feels a little like Bat Country.
Ssn report Yedlin on Wearside now! Every pundit slated Sunderland when we signed 9 or 10 players... West Ham, villa among others signed 11 or 12 and no one said a word! Not a negative comment!
Don't knock it mate, I'm at that funny age where I wonder if I should have had, or should have kids. Always been a bit selfish but find myself envying those who do from time to time. I'd say that's worth a lot more than knowing that Anderlecht's left back has a bit of pace!
Doesn't matter. They're a London club and there's a positive bias not to say anything anti southern teams. Sunderland though are the worst offenders because we signed 11 (6 first team though) which is far too many!! Bollocks to them If Yedlin signs that's a canny window. Even without its canny enough.
problem is - he made the mistake which caused him to put the after burners on in the first instance...
Don't worry MM not many will get a game if our new recruits continue in the vein they have started, some we may never see in a Sunderland shirt again, I hope so anyway. Nil Desperandum
sorry - bloody typing... I was trying to say Isn`t there a possibility of loaning people out after this window shuts...doesn`t the Football League allow it somehow?
