I see Kent are seeking arbitration over the Durham relegation with the ECB. While I understand their disappointment it seems a little perverse to claim they are more entitled to the Div 1 place. After all they did not play Durham while that County were benefiting from spending money on contracts (ie players) they could not afford. It's a complex matter which could've been handled a little better but I stuggle to see why, when Kent always knew 2nd place would not be promoted, they should benefit instead of Hampshire.
Interesting to note many Counties have more debt than Durham had, they just have 'better' lenders. But then as Saints fans we know how that feels, the debts which led to our admin were not unmanagable even in comparison to other like sized clubs at the time, but the bank blinked. For which I think most Saint fans are now grateful.
