Yes, credit where it's due. I thought at the time Tom's words were a little brave. Once you've experienced something like Tranmere you rarely make rash comments again. I was watching that game with some workmates and at half-time I leant across and said to one of them "I think that should be enough". It's what makes us older Saints fans the way we are.
Good decision by Cook to effectively stop play at that point. Regroup and hit them hard with the seamers in the morning, then give the spinners the new ball. Normal tactics don't seem to apply with this surface or conditions.
In a way , much as I hope we win , would be could for Test Cricket if Bangladesh won . People used to laugh at them ( me included ) we are not laughing anymore !
