Ex-LNWR 0-6-2T ‘Coal Tank’ No 7577 stands outside Longsight shed during July 1937.
Built as LNWR No 119 in September 1881, it was withdrawn from service in January 1939, but as it wasn’t scrapped immediately it was reinstated in 1940 before finally being withdrawn in February 1946.
It gained its first LMS number (7577) in June 1928
The twenty one year eight month career of D7581/25231 started with four years on the LMR followed by fifteen years on the Scottish Region, then a further three on the LMR.
WP7582 steam locomotive 4-6-2 possibly Canadian manufacture.
This locomotive worked the Imperial Special of Emperor Haile Salassie of Ethiopia from Moghulsarai to Chittaranjan in 1956.

The O ("Osnovnoy" or "Main") was the first "standard type" steam locomotive, meaning it became the main type in the locomotive fleet of Russian railways. From 1890 to 1915, over 9,000 locomotives of this series were built at twelve locomotive-building factories.

WP 7592, built by the Canadian Locomotive Company B/N 2806 in 1955/56, approaching Old Delhi Station on 24 December 1977. Again a mixture of Box-Pok and spoked driving wheels and it also has disc wheels on the leading bogie.
