HDML 1321 (MV Rushcutter) is now in Darwin, with the refit continuing. Both engines - the original BUDDA diesels - are working well, with new cylinder heads just arrived from the USA and in the process of being fitted.
A major project is now underway to determine whether three of the four men from the Z Special Patrol who escaped from Muschu Island, landed several days later on Kairaru Island and were subsequently executed by the Japanese. Information to hand indicates that it's possible their bodies were buried on the island and never recovered.
If this can be determined and their remains located, one proposal is to bring them home using the MV Rushcutter. This would be a fitting conclusion to the mission.

Greetings Woopert - yesterday was fine and sunny but windy and only 16 degrees tad cool for the good lady so she and the fruits of my loins determined the heater had to be on all day thus compounding the great expense the weekend incurred - she was happy so job done - how was your weekend much celebrating "The Great Escape" and end result ?

SDB 1323 was one of a class of thirty motor launches built for the Royal Australian Navy during World War II. Nine were constructed in Australian shipyards, three in the United Kingdom and eighteen in United States shipyards. Originally classified as Harbour Defence Motor Launches (HDMLs), they were redesignated Seaward Defence Motor Launches (SDMLs) in the early 1950s and Seaward Defence Boats (SDBs) in 1957 .
After commissioning at Adelaide, South Australia, on 21 January 1944, SDB 1323 served in Australian waters until June before proceeding via Thursday Island to New Guinea, arriving at Merauke on 1 August 1944. She remained in Netherlands New Guinea waters operating on reconnaissance and patrol duties until December 1944, when she proceeded to Townsville and then Brisbane for refit and paying off into Reserve.

Gunwharf I will investigate

1324 Lafayette is a fun and fresh community with an unbeatable location - just steps from Western Michigan University, U.S.A.

Gunwharf is an outlet shopping centre, with restaurants and apartments, built right on the edge of Portsmouth Harbour, near to the ferry terminals to the I.O.W. and Gosport.

UNSCR 1325 recognises that the experiences and needs of women and girls differ from those of men and boys in conflict and post-conflict situations, particularly in relation to human rights violations such as sexual and gender-based violence. UNSCR 1325 also underlines the essential role of women in conflict prevention, management and resolution.

What a star Woopert - taking a woman to a venue that she can not only buy clothes but she can be fine dined - well done you

The invasion of England in 1326 by Isabella of France and Roger Mortimer, 1st Earl of March, led to the capture of Hugh Despenser the Younger and the abdication of Edward II of England.

.....and to think I left her there with a debit card, whilst I was a the footie, with all those shops to go in. What was I thinking ? <laugh>

Edward II (r. 1307-1327)
History of the Monarchy
Edward II had few of the qualities that made a successful medieval king. Edward surrounded himself with favourites (the best known being a Gascon, Piers Gaveston), and the barons, feeling excluded from power, rebelled. Throughout his reign, different baronial groups struggled to gain power and control the King.

Certainly a lapse in the thought process - been there done that and probably wrote the book

Robert I (r. 1306-1329)
On 25 March 1306, Robert the Bruce was chosen to be King of Scots and to lead the fight for Scottish independence against Edward I of England.
Born in 1274 in Ayr, the son of Robert Bruce, Earl of Carrick, he was the grandson of the Robert Bruce who had been one of the competitors for the throne after the death of the Maid of Norway.
Robert I had been on the English side when Edward moved against Balliol, but he had subsequently joined Wallace's revolt. When Wallace gave up the Guardianship of Scotland in 1298, Robert became joint Guardian with Sir John Comyn of Badenoch (Balliol's nephew).
A few weeks before his coronation, Robert killed his greatest rival for the crown - his joint Guardian - in a Dumfries church, during the last of many arguments between them. For this murder, Robert was outlawed by Edward I and excommunicated by Pope Clement V.

FCS 1331 Code of Practice for Business Radio Site Engineering: 2013

The standard of the installation of radio equipment at the site is an increasingly important factor in the provision of a proper radio communications service to the end user. At a minimum, the installation will affect:
•the quality of the service provided to the customer.
•the service provided by other users on the site.

And (critically),
•the safety of staff while they are on site.

NGC 1333 is a reflection nebula located in the constellation Perseus. It belongs to the Perseus molecular cloud.

In 2011 researchers reported finding 30 to 40 brown dwarf objects in the cloud and in the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex.

Hi anti - Easy day today. Went to a Garden Centre, had a meal in their cafe, bought some plants and shrubs, came home, planted them and did the lawns. Nice weather. Back to work tomorrow.

A gorgeous off the shoulder design, with ruched chiffon gathering at the natural waistline and finished off with a crystal brooch.

I can just see myself in that - sounds like Badgers Drift is having its spring makeover

The 1336 battle of Tatarahama (Tatarahama no tatakai) was one of many battles constituting the Nanboku-chō Wars in Japan, in which two rival Imperial Courts battled for legitimacy and control of the country. It was decisive in securing control of the island of Kyūshū for the Northern Imperial Court, which was closely connected to the Ashikaga shogunate.

Greetings Woopert - I do hate potential upheavals I long for the status quo - still that's football as you guys well know - been swimming this morning now off to golf then the compulsory 19th hole and perhaps a tad shabby tomorrow am
