Reeson went to my school! He's done alright hasn't he? Quality scene that! The out takes were really funny too :emoticon-0148-yes:

There's an Inside No 9 special at Xmas. Can't wait for that. And Outnumbered. Me dad was on about the Royle Family too. Saying the cast had got together to talk about Caroline Aherne for an xmas prog.

Yeah, all that aside, **** Christmas. Roll on boxing day when normality sets in.

Ironic that I'm not religious but am posting on an unlocked religious thread, because it's Christmas yay!!!!!!!!!

First Xmas for my daughter, so instead of traipsing around everyone else's gaff, this year it's the three of us staying at home.

They can come to us.

Our lass has just come home with the tree and as per it's way too big. Extra lights have been ordered for delivery tonight...

First for my daughter as well. Czech in-laws haven't seen her yet so we are going over there for Christmas. Bloody carp again! At least they have decent beer and some nice paint stripper-esque spirits. Oh, and some snow.

Is that they eat Carp for Christmas dinner or its just not very good over there and ipads autocorrected?

All 4 Christmas trees are up
Loads of booze bought for Christmas has already gone...as have those crisps from M&S that are something like prosecco and are glittery with stars on them (if I'm hallucinating again then apologies...it'll still be the mushrooms!)
Turkey and huge pork pie ordered from Fields, there'll also be a ham cooked in cider
There will be the normal booze (majoring on IPA, lager, gin vodka and single malts) plus lots of port, amaretto and prosecco
All family is home for Christmas...which is the good bit
Do Christmas Eve afternoon on the piss with family and Askew's mob.
Christmas Day all family is at ours, champagne and croissants for breakfast and then single malts with Father in Law by mid morning. I assume other things happen later in the day...not sure.
Unusually on Boxing Day we're off to New York with the whole family, really looking forward to that I have to say

Happy Christmas you bunch of ****s <cracker><cheers>

I drink my rum neat and the Blackseal 151 is not a sipping rum. Mount Gay XO compares well price wise, comes in a good looking box and you can sip or mix it. Easy to get hold of as well.
My rum drinking has slowed down to a trickle lately. But...

I was going to ask about Pork Pies. I've heard fields are good. Anywhere else recommended?
I made some Red currant vodka, red currants out of my garden, a few months back so looking forward to that. Strain the red currants and have them with ice cream and a few nice shots of Voddy.

Fields pies are very good, they do lots of flavours nearer the time too (Stilton and stuff)

Mr. Smiths in Cottingham do a mean pork pie. Quite a few different varieties as well.
