Assume then that Dan Starkey is a pseudonym as on google your name comes up with a British actor who seems to have starred in Dr Who as someone called Strax - not that I recall such a character

It is indeed a pseudonym but when i first used it i had no idea it was an actor in Dr Who - i took it from the name of a character in a series of books <doh>

Thanks for the Latte AK. I hope the team have stocked up from your bar and that they have detailed diet sheets for every member of the party. Do you expect any medals?

As a peripatetic teacher, I tend to meet more pupils than a class teacher - and tend to get a little more fun out of some of the names I encounter. One such case was a young lass called Ruby - when I first taught her class four years ago, I got into the habit of calling her Ruby Tuesday as that is one of my favourite songs - and much to her embarrassment, I'd often burst into song in the middle of a lesson. She did take it in good heart though - at a school talent show, she stood up in front of the whole school and sang the song perfectly, bringing a tear to me eye...

You should not call yourself peripatetic - I have heard lots of people say you are very good

....... and Ruby Tuesday is an all time favourite of mine :)

I've taught Dean Martin, Andy Williams and David Cameron....none of them, as far as I know, rose to great heights!

Not this version by any chance? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8kJsN9UF3w

A rock band from Brisbane in the 70s and immensely popular throughout Queensland, I rate this as the best ever version of a great song.

Takes me right back it does....
