13.10 Each Ticket issued by the Club to the Member or any Guest is issued for the sole use of the Member or Guest named on the Ticket and neither the Member or Guest shall re-sell, assign or transfer their Ticket (or the benefit of it) to any other person without the prior written consent of the Club. For the avoidance of doubt (and by way of example only) no Ticket may, without the Club’s prior written consent, be offered as a prize in any promotion or competition or transferred, lent or sold to any third party as part of a hospitality or travel package, given to a third party who agrees to buy another good or service, or used for any other commercial purpose.

I could rarely find anybody that could be bothered to go if I wasn't going when I had a pass.

The issue is more the big deal they seem to be making about it in the proposals with talk of photo id etc. which seem designed
to put people off voting for the proposed concession system

And put people off even bothering to buy a pass.
Whichever you try and look at the Allams mindset it just isn't possible to understand this situation !!

I agree, but to tackle them and be sure of your ground you really do need to second guess their response and how plausible it would be. Other clubs have spot check, etc in their T&Cs, it is simply the Allam way to flex their muscles. I might be wrong, but I don't believe they are deliberately attempting to sway the vote, it is simply the way they think, they have the power so express it. It's what makes them ****e owners. Do you honestly think that all of those policing measures will be exercised? The implementation of the stated prices is also highly unlikely. It seems to have been forgotten this is still a ballot.

You don't think they are trying to swing the vote, so you think many adults will vote in favour of concessions at the cost of doubling their own tickets.
As you have shown there is a standard clause 3.2 regarding the passing on a ticket which nearly all clubs use and yet our club has to come up with it's own "no one else to use the ticket, regular spot checks requiring photo ID, confiscation of ticket, apply in person to get ticket back and a 35 quid fine"
What make's you think they won't implement what's voted for?

The protests may well have done more harm than good on this occasion.They diluted the Trusts status as being representative. They gave the owners the opportunity to double the price of Adults and what is worse still INCREASE the price paid by the over 65's.

The principle of concession rates was a valid reason to vote. But no effort was made to promote the first vote. No BBC camped outside the Trusts HQ, no radio or media interviews urging supporters to vote. Nothing.
This left a void that was filled by protest groups and the pathetic, yes pathetic A4 poster protest, showed the owners that in reality there was nothing to lose for them.

Low turnout, no lobbying of support and a lack of viable protest, set back supporter involvement years.

The net reasult is that supporters are cancelling memberships and anyone who thinks that that is a good thing, misses the point. I have cancelled as I am sick to the back teeth of being a pawn in the hands of the owners and the protesters.

You, your kind and the owners can fight this out, me I will watch and wait and be ready to come back when you all have become bored with it all.

When I'm bored with it all you'll be reading my obituary, perhaps sooner than expected though! Maybe we should follow the ****bag OSC's stance, say nowt and bend over and ...

Can't be bothered with a petty argument.

However I have been to both Man City and Man Utd on a colleagues pass this year and it is done on a very regular basis without anyone given a ****, no false threats, no forcing people to have an ID card like some draconian society.

The OSC hasn’t got a stance in this. Have a go at me if you like, but, the OSC, isn’t going to say anything about this issue. We have not discussed the vote and have no intention or interest as an organisation in the vote.
We acknowledge that we are too closely linked to the club to have full independence.
That said, we are fine with being consulted, but that is were it starts and stops.

Today, my focus will be on the raffle of a life size Tiger that the OSC is running for St Andrews hospice, a few pints and the game. I will be smiling when I see the match day mascots walk out, as we have helped one lad realise a dream, in very emotive circumstances.
Last week it was on promoting walking football and next week it will be on our next meet the player event.

Your post reminded me why I am involved in the OSC. I am proud of the work we do, the thanks we get, some of the emails saying thank you actually bring tears to my eyes. The Spurs supporter who wrote to us telling us about how Headway has changed his life and that the continued fundraising we do for the charity is been put to good use, not only for Ryan Mason but for others like him.
I am looking forward to the day when we completely fund a wheelchair for the Electric Eels football team the chosen fund for our new HCOSC golf society.

So knock that as much as you like.

I think we understood right from the start that our role is to go into the meetings with open minds. We know the issues that effect the supporters and we also know what the club needs to do to improve the situation. We do not have a set in stone series of objectives.

Our rep should say “I think” and not “We think” when asked a question or when giving an opinion as a supporter and the opposite way round when as an OSC rep. As long as it is an honest reply, I am happy with that. I don’t have to agree a stance with our rep as I trust her to be honest and true to herself as a Hull City supporter and a Director of the OSC.

It might not be prefect, but actually sometimes life is like that.
