So if we have the rules but don’t enforce them, we’re the same as the majority?
It would appear so
The ‘not lending to a friend’ bit in T&Cs is irrelevant

It’s the requirement to carry photo ID and give permission to the Club staff to check your details at any time that is the issue (EDIT - I removed an obvious, but inappropriate, comparison)

My old (proper old) man has just emailed me his email he received from the club regarding his vote & instructions to do so.

He’s never been to a game, never bought a ticket & has only ever bought minor merchandise for my old Mum.

Strange one.

EDIT: Just spoke to him he thinks he got it because he signed up for the commentaries last week, for my Mum. He thinks it’s funny as **** as he’s never set foot in the Stadium & has no desire to.

This reminds me of a film (or a book), whereby a government/president was voted into power in a surprise victory. When the opposition delved into the details of those who voted for this person, they were real people/names, but they were all dead! Perhaps Ehab has bought an old Census and is going to use their names and vote for his favoured option ;)

Folk should start with the Ticket T&Cs of the FA and then try PL clubs down - they (the ones I have looked at) will only transfer subject to a written application and approval being granted. It seems to me that the club are simply laying out a common policy for the avoidance of future doubt; enforcing it on simple seat filling, by a friend, would be highly unlikely - just as the projected prices are not credible. Folk need to consider this more and slow down. I totally agree with a no-vote now, just as it should have been in the first ballot.

That is not how it comes across. They have stated there will be spot checks - and this point was made in a very sinister manner which was totally unnecessary.

hmm
Interesting

There is a hell of a lot of twitter replies to the clubs tweet about the new ballot, basically telling them where they can shove their new ballot. I certainly replied to them and told them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

61 responses, universally negative, many censored due to swearing.

Unsurprisingly, they've un-pinned it from the Twitter page now.

I agree, but to tackle them and be sure of your ground you really do need to second guess their response and how plausible it would be. Other clubs have spot check, etc in their T&Cs, it is simply the Allam way to flex their muscles. I might be wrong, but I don't believe they are deliberately attempting to sway the vote, it is simply the way they think, they have the power so express it. It's what makes them ****e owners. Do you honestly think that all of those policing measures will be exercised? The implementation of the stated prices is also highly unlikely. It seems to have been forgotten this is still a ballot.

I could, but I'm not going to check the terms and conditions of every football club.

The lower league clubs don't give a **** who sits in the seats, they're just happy people are there. And of the top clubs who have the strictest rules, Man United allow family and friends to use passes, Man City allow family and friends to use passes, Chelsea allow family and friends to use passes, Arsenal allow family and friends to use passes (you have to go online and register their names, but you don't need permission), Liverpool's terms state you do need written permission, as do Spurs (though neither actually enforce that rule).

In fact, no club enforces these rules unless someone misbehaves, they're nothing more than an insurance policy, unlike the draconian nonsense that we're currently proposing.

Oh dear, even Hartlepool. Beyond the fact that you choose to ignore that we have all have accepted that clubs don't enforce those rules (except for problem transgressors) and your whole know-it-****ing-all assertion about all clubs and lower league clubs was utter bollocks, is there anything else you can get wrong? You're right, this was boring and sadly illuminating, but very necessary. You really are an odd one... Done for the weekend, ta... <ok>
