Meltdown alert.
I think he is still too raw for that kind of move.
@talkSPORTDrive Did someone type a wrong key in the MUFC office with Mane ? Should have been Kane?Anyone know credible this guy is?
Agreed, the second half of the season he was class, unplayable sometimes, but at the beginning he was pretty ****. Needs a full season playing well to be able to merit a big move.
Semi agree. If it were to happen it wouldn't be the fact he's gone in isolation that would concern me. It would be the fact that we are attempting to replace 4 or so first teamers for the 2nd Summer in a row. I have faith in the board and trust them completely (before anyone has a go or tells me to look at last season) but we can't do that every year, it's simply not sustainable. Not every transfer will work out (as we have learnt in the past).
It's all to do with the timing of theproposed transfer. Getting an adequate replacement this late on at a price and wage that suits our structure would be impossible. Even Elia has found a club by now. We'd probably be looking at paying over hte odds for a Matt Phillips type of player and I just feel that if Mane were to leave we wouldn't have enough quality to really trouble the top end of the league. You'd have to consider any new player settling into the system etc as well. That's my considered opinion and in no way a 'meltdown'. We may only finish mid table if Mane stays!
If he causes a fuss, that leaves us with little choice but all things being equal a big no from me, at any cost.
Indeed, not every transfer does work out but it doesn't need to to be sustainable. Not everyone who came in last year worked yet we had a good season. If we're offered/think we can get an amount that's far in excess of our valuation of him I suspect we'll take it, provided we have someone lined up (and we've been assured that there's always a list ready to go, so it might be ready to go). I just wonder if we'd have time to replace given 12 days remaining.

No words, really.
His "rawness" might increase the chances of selling him. If someone's prepared to pay panic money that priced him as the finished article, it'll be tempting to take it. And it looks very much like Man U are panicking; they do it well.

First of all, I had as as mid table anyway.
Secondly, we signed Toby at 11:55 on deadline day - you might be surprised at what can be done.
Do you really think Matt Phillips is the only player in the black box? Let's not panic yet, it's not happened and the club consider three of four people all the time. They even have replacements lined up for Ron.
