Annoyingly would make sense for them. If it's real, they have bucket loads of cash. I'd rinse them for every penny.

Selling Mane at this point in the season would effetviely mean that we are resigned to finishing mid table in my view (which in turn means that Vic and Rodriguez will probably leave next summer if they have half way decent seasons). I just think this is one of those "not selling at any cost".

I actually agree, every player has his price but there's no way I'd sell Sadio without a replacement (or 2) lined up, and even then it would have to be for stupid money. Remember how toothless we looked up top towards end of last year.... now imagine that but without Sadio <yikes>

Les and the team should know they can't sell again this summer. They promised it would not be the same as last time. If Mane goes it's summer 2014 V2.0

If the price is right then our business model says we'll sell, but I'd be amazed if it happened this late in the window as the other requirement is to have an undervalued replacement waiting in the wings.

Then again, I said we'd keep Toby, so what do I know?

In an ideal world I'm with you 100%. If they chuck £40m our way it might make things....uncomfortable though.

I was surprised that no one was looking at Mane before, but we must not sell him. We don't 'need' the money and he will fetch money next season...we must not sell our most exciting player at this stage of the season. United should be told this firmly in public.

I'm not sure why we're resigning to mid-table if he goes or saying we must say "no way"..... It's almost the early muttering Of a meltdown. We just bring in some others. It's what happens sadly, even to United. Look at De Gea.

I don't want us to sell Mane, but if he kicks off and starts causing trouble, then I'll be disappointed but not distraught. Mane looks like he is ready to set the world alight this season, but if he had to go and it was for mega bucks, then there'll be players we can be getting in before the window closes.

Not ideal, but not the end of the world.

Just seems to me that Mane is Man Utds plan C after others have said no......
Would anyone complain with say Sadio out and Charlie boy in?

It's all to do with the timing of theproposed transfer. Getting an adequate replacement this late on at a price and wage that suits our structure would be impossible. Even Elia has found a club by now. We'd probably be looking at paying over hte odds for a Matt Phillips type of player and I just feel that if Mane were to leave we wouldn't have enough quality to really trouble the top end of the league. You'd have to consider any new player settling into the system etc as well. That's my considered opinion and in no way a 'meltdown'. We may only finish mid table if Mane stays!

If he causes a fuss, that leaves us with little choice but all things being equal a big no from me, at any cost.

Semi agree. If it were to happen it wouldn't be the fact he's gone in isolation that would concern me. It would be the fact that we are attempting to replace 4 or so first teamers for the 2nd Summer in a row. I have faith in the board and trust them completely (before anyone has a go or tells me to look at last season) but we can't do that every year, it's simply not sustainable. Not every transfer will work out (as we have learnt in the past).
