Yep. Bit weird you back out of paying £21m for Pedro. Then linked to buying Mane, he will cost you more then that.
My guess is that Pedro "chose" Chelsea and then they said they backed out to save losing face. Just a guess.

Which you have replaced, everyone needs a striker it seems
40M and they can.
It was never going to be long before some of the big guys started circling Mane.
Annoyingly would make sense for them. If it's real, they have bucket loads of cash. I'd rinse them for every penny.
Selling Mane at this point in the season would effetviely mean that we are resigned to finishing mid table in my view (which in turn means that Vic and Rodriguez will probably leave next summer if they have half way decent seasons). I just think this is one of those "not selling at any cost".

I was surprised that no one was looking at Mane before, but we must not sell him. We don't 'need' the money and he will fetch money next season...we must not sell our most exciting player at this stage of the season. United should be told this firmly in public.Selling Mane at this point in the season would effetviely mean that we are resigned to finishing mid table in my view (which in turn means that Vic and Rodriguez will probably leave next summer if they have half way decent seasons). I'm not sure why we're resigning to mid-table if he goes or saying we must say "no way"..... It's almost the early muttering a if a meltdown. We just bring in some others. It's what happens sadly, even to United. Look at De Gea.
I don't want us to sell Mane, but if he kicks off and starts causing trouble, then I'll be disappointed but not distraught. Mane looks like he is ready to set the world alight this season, but if he had to go and it was for mega bucks, then there'll be players we can be getting in before the window closes.
Not ideal, but not the end of the world.
