Started banging this drum right after the Vitesse game. Really wanna see it happen sometime soon.
I was promoting that type of forward line half way through last season when we had a lean spell. Obviously not Jayrod, but I referred to playing the speed demons. It's an option that could work well away in Europe.
Maybe something like this?...

Alongside Vic, and only one of Juanmi/Tadic. Eventually if playing that style, I'd go Jayrod down the middle and Tadic and Mane wide.

Saints boss Ronald Koeman added to his defensive options this week by signing Steven Caulker on loan from QPR.
And now he has turned his attention to the Serie A side's France Under-20 star Koulibaly.
The Italians took Vlad Chiriches from Tottenham on a four-year deal last week and are now ready to cash in on the 24-year-old.
Southampton boasted one of the best defensive records in the top flight last season and Koeman wants to preserve it.

I wouldn't put Juanmi and Tadic in the same team to be fair. Clasie instead, same as everyone else.
That's not a bad shout! How about putting Clasie on Reed's shoulders with one large shirt covering Harry's upper half? When the ref's not looking they could separate and hide behind Vic.

I think this Koulibaly rumour could well have some legs as we have been scouting him for at least 3 years. Seem to recall we were amongst a clutch of premier league clubs that watched him regularly at Genk. That said, I thought Everton were the club most strongly linked this summer. Would be a massive signing if we could pull it off as he can play CB, RB and even defensive midfield. The age is perfect for us too.
At the bottom of the article the paper provided their usual YES/NO option vote. It said, Will Jose Fonte still be at Southampton at the end of the transfer window?
Earlier, when I pressed YES, it registered 93% YES and 7% People having a laugh.
Same. Clasie's the perfect foil for such a front line, as well; he loves a 40-yard ball.
